CriBaby Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wow, I haven't been able to get back to this site in a couple of days and look at the activity! I'll go about making more edits in the next few days, if able. Also, screenshots of what you're doing. The code (blocks instead of just the yellow lines, so you can see what's surrounding the code you've made) and the final result of what you've done. Either way, it helps.
Sungazer Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 Ok so tutorial 1 version 2 is up now. I inserted screenshots of the code for version 2. I am currently working on the html version
phoexer Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Hey bud, sorry it took me so long to look through it. As any apology i shall sacrifice a small goat and name my daughter after you. As it stands it pretty good, i kinda tore it up a bit in my compiler and now I'm waiting for two. Question: this is seems more like API tutorial (sorry ), are you going to touch on design aspects or are you taking the "I'll teach technical, you suffer on design" approach?
Sungazer Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 Hmmm... well I s'pose that depends on your definition of "design" lol. If by design you meen creative, story, character development... I hadnt planned on doing that. But if its something that a bunch of people are interested in, I may do a few tutorials on creative design and documentation.
PerfectChaos Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Yaaay! A game dev tutoral!! So we use something like MSVC++ '08 Express?
Sungazer Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 I've never used it but im sure you can use MSVC++ '08 Express in place of MS Visual Studio '05. Just make sure you have the DXSDK installed as well!
