Apple Decides to Stop AirPower’s Production WHY?

Hey everyone,

DUE TO APPLE’S DELAYS, THE PRODUCTION OF AIRPOWER WAS FINALLY CANCELED.

Apple has decided to stop the production of AirPower completely on the grounds that it does not comply with its own standards. Ac We have decided that AirPower cannot reach our high standards and we have canceled the project, ağ said Dan Riccio, senior vice president of hardware engineering at Apple.

We apologize to customers who are waiting for AirPower. We will continue to believe that we are promising future wireless technologies and the wireless experience to move forward.

It got cancelled because it kept overheating during testing based on what I’ve read. They couldn’t fix the issue with keeping it cool.

 

Their devices still support other wireless chargers though...
