AverageJoe Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I dont support it. you mean you do support it? Anyways I used to torrent everything until they threatened to disconnect my internet, which would make my parents take away my computer.
the_god_2000 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I download mp3s *cough* legally *cough*. i dont buy cds. im really strong-opinioned on this one: we are taught to share since we were kids, and now big corporations are saying its illegal? bad. record companies need to get into the new century. they need to find a way to allow online downloading in a way that current mp3 downloaders would agree to. haha so true never looked at it like that
kyle Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 that is true. I think they should stop with the Piracy act and all that because they know that no matter what they do, thing will be copied!
Eeor3 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 My wizdom: Never pay for anything you can get for free!
battlelands Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 The 10$ for a CD is not too much compared to the ammount of money you'll have to pay when they catch you....
resin Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Yes, i support it...photoshop,autocad? i can't afford those but i use them alot
AverageJoe Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 They won't get you over a few songs in limewire, my whole school would be caught then.
Kyougi Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Y'know, we should probably ban everyone that says they support piracy. You people keep sticking warez on our servers.
Maxdamantus Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I only pirate music, when they have something like a one-hit-wonder and it isn't worth buying their CD. Also, I think this is the wrong forum.. Open Source is when you can download a program or script's source code, so that you can edit and compile it on various operating systems, rather than being limited to just Windows.
RelaxRelapse Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I kind of support it... I do get some music but I usually buy the CD like someone else said if I like it. If I only like one song then there's no point in buying the CD, and for the people who get photoshop etc. illegally. There are tons of free programs just like it to use so...
Life Gate Academy Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 As an individual, I cannot say I have NEVER pirated a piece of software. But as a principal and someone who has to constantly monitor my school network for licensing violations and downloaded [bleep], I hate it. I spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about such things, which is why I fully support the free and open source communities. Sharing really is a better concept. But as long as we live in a capitalistic world, this will just be something we have to deal with- like it or not. Money is what runs the world.
