TroJan-X Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 could not find a place with this topic so i decided to start it if you have questions then post them hear and hopefully they will get answered! my question is... what is the difference between stock and buying the regular thing in the store? p.s. if this is in the wrong category or if there is already something like this then i am sorry because i couldn't find it
Sungazer Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 lol your a bit post happy unless you want the high bandwidth site your kinda wasting your time lol the free add account is the same as the basic posting package! haha do it up! http://heliohost.org/scripts/signup.php
JcX Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I guess you're aren't answering what he wanna ask. The stock state that the stock available in store. If stock = 0, that means you couldn't buy it anymore even with millions of Helion. While the other stock would be state as Infinity, which you can buy it continuously and renew it, i.e. the package offered. But bear this in mind, djbob is making changes to the hosting, you don't need any specific packages anymore. So don't waste your Helions for that.
Lilium Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 I have a newb question too, why is it when I register for the Stantard AD plan it tells me Congratulations Please visit blabla/cpanel but when I click it I always get Page Load Error.
Lilium Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 May I ask what's the point of receiving blank confirmation letters?
Ashoat Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Hmm... everybody is getting them now? Must be something I did when I updated the signup script... lemme check the code. EDIT OK, found the problem. I forgot the update the email code to use the new global variables I created for the new version of the signup script. No more blank confirmation letters
jjpriest25 Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I'm not really a noob, but I thought that there was a chance that this was a noob question so I'll ask it here. What is a cron? I honestly don't even have a clue what it is other than when djbob said that he was limiting them. Is it a cron job? I don't know what that is either but I've heard that term before. I'm like Trojan X. I don't know where to put this because I don't really know what it is...
Trippin Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 A cron job is basically a way for the server to run a script at a certain time and repeatedly. So if you have a script that updates the page views (like on youtube the video views aren't updated instantly, they are updated every so often) then you make a cron job that runs the script to update the page views. I'm sure there are many other uses but thats the one that popped into my head.
