PHP Memory

I believe PHP memory counts as normal memory. Therefore, there is a limit, because it counts as a part of your webspace. And depending on which plan you have you will have a certain limit of webspace.

No, I believe it's a different type of memory. Most hosts limit a user to 8MB-16MB of PHP memory. This

is to prevent a user from bogging down the servers and such.

The CMS I wish to run is called SilverStripe (you can google it). It's one of the nicest and most feature-rich

systems out there, however, it requires at least 20MB of PHP memory (not even including the recommended 32MB).

Unfortunately, we're set at 8MB. 20MB is a really huge number - you're going to need a paid host if you want something like that.

Yeah, I figured. No problem - I don't have to use it; I'll just design a site based

off of a template from that system.

Haha, 20 is a lot... and it's not even the recommended!
