Kyougi Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 A web-based calender is still not portable unless you decide on accessing it from a remote PC. A portable handheld such as a PDA or a cell phone should already have a calender out-of-the-box. I think that google may actually win the competition against microsoft.. I know sony did for the playstation 3, but thats probably cuz sony is in japan and japan is far ahead in technology With consoles, no one has won anything. It's way too early to determine anything. And with all that other Google vs MS crap, that's spam. FINED.
Quantum Media LLC Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I never noticed the extra space in yahoo mail. I use google now for most of my emails.
Mystical Water Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 It's not about the space. It's about the most widely used email service and the best facilites it provides. Well after all hotmail is going the best as compared to the rest of the services. It offers 2GB as the storage facility and it also provides myspaces and also groups. After all many people use its messenger known as Windows Live Messenger 8.1 and its interface totally rocks. This makes it better among the rest of the web based email services.
arunsonnet Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 One can use those gmail storage to store that data using progs like Gmail file system
Mystical Water Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Nice suggestion though. Well people you know what, hotmail and yahoo have made an agreement so that the yahoo users and the hotmail users can chat with each other using any of the two messengers.
Quantum Media LLC Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I think here in the near future that all messengers will become cross compatible.
Mystical Water Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Maybe, but i don't think it would happen due to competition!
Dragonfire Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Messengers and emails are totally different things. You can add a Microsoft.NET passport to your yahoo, gmail or any other email address to make it compatible on windows live messenger. So I'd just go for gmail, if we're talking about the best email provider. If you want the best messenger then I think that'll be windows live messenger.
Mystical Water Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Ofcourse it is, the best email storage provider is gmail and best email service i guess hotmail.
Dragonfire Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Well, everyone has there own opinions. Anyways my opinion is that gmail has a better service than windows live mail as it is much faster. But if I had a faster internet connection then I'd go for windows live mail.
Mystical Water Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Windows Live Mail is simply the best and i think its the most widely used email service in the whole world.
Dragonfire Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Well, Windows Live Mail would have been better if it had POP3 email service. I don't think it has it, does it? And please tell me how to use it if it does.
Mystical Water Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Well i don't think so that it uses POP3 service. It isn't even necessary to use POP3 email service.
Dragonfire Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Well POP3 might not be necessary to you but it is to me. I need it so that I could easily check my mails on outlook express or ms outlook.
