chachi Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 i'm thinking about building a computer, but i've never done it before. it's pretty simple picking out the components and such, but i need help with the power supply. how do you choose the right one?
ShannenName Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Usually the most expensive on is the best one but not all the time, ask the seller to recommend one.
Quantum Media LLC Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I would go with at least a 500 watt. Its never going to hurt to have too much... and make sure you get the power supply from a large chain store like target, best buy etc. and not a small computer repair shop
AverageJoe Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 It's best to get it from a well respected brand of hardware. The store really doesn't matter, as long as it's not used. I would personally go with the small business, as they make their money from customer service, where as big chains make it from trying to maximize their prophets, anyway possible. Joe
