kyle Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Theres something wrong. Everytime I log into my ACP its always ****ed up! It works on the index. i'm going off to bed, so please help me get an answer before I wake up tomorrow.
Kyougi Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Thank you for a very descriptive post. It's very productive.
kyle Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 Um...okay. Well do you know what the problem is?
Ashoat Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 It could be any number of things, with the conditions you specified.
RelaxRelapse Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 give a more descriptive post. No one knows whats wrong with it unless you make it more descriptive. Try re-installing it. Thats the best I can do for you right now.
kyle Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 I reinstalled it like 3 times. The same thing happens. I log into my account on the forum. Its okay. But then when I log into my admin control panel, i am able to but then it redirects me to a blank page. So I can't alter the board. Do you know what i'm saying now?
Ashoat Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Can you give me the source of the blank page? What browser are you using?
kyle Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 i'm using Internet Explorer 7 and the source is: <center><!-- Begin: AdBrite --> <script type="text/javascript"> var AdBrite_Title_Color = '0000FF'; var AdBrite_Text_Color = '000000'; var AdBrite_Background_Color = 'FFFFFF'; var AdBrite_Border_Color = 'FFFFFF'; </script> <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><script src="http://ads.adbrite.com/mb/text_group.php?sid=321253&zs=3436385f3630" type="text/javascript"></script><!-- --><a target="_top" href="http://www.adbrite.com/mb/commerce/purchase_form.php?opid=321253&afsid=1"><img src="http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/adbrite-your-ad-here-banner.gif" style="background-color:#FFFFFF" alt="Your Ad Here" width="11" height="60" border="0" /></a></span> <!-- End: AdBrite --></center> <html dir=""> <head> <title>phpBB Administration</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;"> </head> <frameset cols="170,*" rows="*" border="2" framespacing="0" frameborder="yes"> <frame src="index.php?pane=left&sid=c3c7319bc37cce9dba415d69875a765a" name="nav" marginwidth="3" marginheight="3" scrolling="auto"> <frame src="index.php?pane=right&sid=c3c7319bc37cce9dba415d69875a765a" name="main" marginwidth="10" marginheight="10" scrolling="auto"> </frameset> <noframes> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000"> <p>Sorry, your browser doesn't seem to support frames</p> </body> </noframes> </html> ADD: As I can see in the body, it says "<p>Sorry, your browser doesn't seem to support frames</p>". That would mean that IE7 doesn't support it?
ShannenName Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 1)IE7 does support frames 2)Did you just click view source in IE7 or is that the actual code 3)It links to index.php?pane=left&sid=c3c7319bc37cce9dba415d69875a765a in a frame but for that there would have to be a code for those frames 4)What version of phpbb are you using?
kyle Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 I have IE7. I clicked on Page, then View Source. And thats what was in the source. And that really sucks. Do you know what browser supports frames? Oh, and the version is 2.0.22
Ashoat Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 IE7 should support frames, as do all IE's since like IE3. Try viewing the ACP through Firefox - tell us what you see.
kyle Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 Does this happen to anyone else? Or is it only happening to me? I mean if we answer that question then, we will come to a conclusion. ADD: I just downloaded FireFox and its a waste of space considering that it was the same thing. I viewed the source and this is what I got: <center><!-- Begin: AdBrite --> <script type="text/javascript"> var AdBrite_Title_Color = '0000FF'; var AdBrite_Text_Color = '000000'; var AdBrite_Background_Color = 'FFFFFF'; var AdBrite_Border_Color = 'FFFFFF'; </script> <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><script src="http://ads.adbrite.com/mb/text_group.php?sid=321253&zs=3436385f3630" type="text/javascript"></script><!-- --><a target="_top" href="http://www.adbrite.com/mb/commerce/purchase_form.php?opid=321253&afsid=1"><img src="http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/adbrite-your-ad-here-banner.gif" style="background-color:#FFFFFF" alt="Your Ad Here" width="11" height="60" border="0" /></a></span> <!-- End: AdBrite --></center> <html dir=""> <head> <title>phpBB Administration</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;"> </head> <frameset cols="170,*" rows="*" border="2" framespacing="0" frameborder="yes"> <frame src="index.php?pane=left&sid=b9167ba623bff91b839d2404564f3e96" name="nav" marginwidth="3" marginheight="3" scrolling="auto"> <frame src="index.php?pane=right&sid=b9167ba623bff91b839d2404564f3e96" name="main" marginwidth="10" marginheight="10" scrolling="auto"> </frameset> <noframes> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000"> <p>Sorry, your browser doesn't seem to support frames</p> </body> </noframes> </html> Notice that it is the same exact code as the IE7 one.
1337 Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 It's probably because the ads break the frames. Consider getting a posting plan or using phpbb3 which does not use frames in the ACP.
Quantum Media LLC Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 you may not be able to put a forum in a frame... im not too sure
