Harlequin Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Yeah, I know! I wanted to hear them sing "Weasley is our King," too! I really wanted to see Fred and George's swamp, too, and the prefects thing was totally left out. They also left out the mirror that Sirius gave Harry for Christmas, and his knife, and they left out loads of scenes at the Ministry.
nightwing14 Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I'm going to see it tomorrow apparently it the best of the films so far! I definitely agree....byfar the best...I have read the books and I must say...It doesn't seem like filler at all. =) Although they DID cut out a lot. But that's understandable considering that it's a huge book.

I wish they wouldnt leave so much out..
kyle Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 I saw it. It was okay. The trailor kindof made it look exciting but then when I saw it, it wasn't what I expected. Really.
karath Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 The movies make the books look like gods, because the movies just cut out on too much content.
Geou Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Yeah, I agree karath, although it is nice to see things in motion (like, I had no idea of what the "veil" in the Ministry of Magic looked like). I wonder what they're going to do about Sirius's mirror, as it's rather important...
Tbone Posted July 26, 2007 Author Posted July 26, 2007 Didnt really do much with Sirius's mother either.. and the veil or what ever never came out of that arch in the ministry
ocustruct Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Meh, once again this movie was more proof that you can never beat the books. They just left out so much and it kinda disappointed me.
Geou Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Seeing some of the stuff that they did include was kind of impressive, though.
Tbone Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 Yeah all of their special effects are amazing. They do a good job with all the animations and spells.
Kim.com Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Yeah all of their special effects are amazing. They do a good job with all the animations and spells. I agree the special effects are amazing! I enjoyed the film but the book is better.
Tbone Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 Yeah.. i think the books are much better then the movies. The only way i could think that the movies would be better is if the movies had everything the books had. But i dont think that will ever happen.
karath Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I'd rather watch Harry Potter Puppet Pals... less data, less cost, less everything and extremely good!
Tbone Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 haha just watched the puppet pals. I would take the movie over the puppet pals anyday..
rod91 Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Obviously the books are better than the movies... but thats not the point. They spend the whole movie preparing this wizard army and in the end you get a puny 5 minute battle sequence Like all the build-up was made and then the end was just rushed :/
