Do you think fantastico will have it for us to install eventually or maybe the scripts section? I am fine with the currently offered version, just wondering.

This really depends on Fantastico, not us. Fantastico is the one that updates their scripts.

Kinda figured, so its not files on your server? Fantastico can cause changes to all its clients?

Fantastico will probably get it eventually.

merely a curiosity, not a necessity.

Thanks

I dont think that Fantastico should get phpbb3 because it still have a few bugs and theres not a lot of templates out...so I suggest that they stay with phpbb2.

I don't know much about Fantastico, as I always do these things myself, but I think it is very likely phpBB 3 will be included in the future if phpBB 2 is included now. The current version of phpBB 3 is for testing purposes only. This means that at the moment, only few people use it, which is why there aren't many templates for it yet. When the first stable version of phpBB 3 will be released I'm sure there will be many templates and mods for it.

There is a phpbb3 rc2. And right now all their doing is getting out all the bugs. It can be used for a live enviroment. And if you have checked out some websites that are allowing members to get phpbb3 templates, they are awesome. Ones that are way better than phpbb2; at least thats what I think.

PHPBB3 RC2 shouldn't have any bugs and be completely stable. It's a release candidate, after all. Just install it the real way, rather than with Fantastico.

thats what they said about phpbb3 rc 1. but look at that, number2 came out so who knows about number 3?

RC1 was fine. What I said above is what a release canidate is. Things rarely come as bug-free, anyways.
