Wannor Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I need a good one. It may be online or paid, just need to be really good
wolstech Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 There's tons of converters that accept .doc. What format you want to convert to or from?
Wannor Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 .pdf mostly, and some others. Which can you recommend me?
wolstech Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Adobe's official software does PDF->Doc. Not cheap, but it's the industry standard. Foxit Phantom PDF (another PDF tool) might be able to make docs from PDFs, but I've never used it (they have a trial version though). If you want to make a PDF, Office 2010 and up can save the DOC as a PDF with no extra software required. The big issue is that depending on the file you're converting, PDF->DOC conversions (especially those that are "pictures of text") might be made through OCR...the conversion is bound to be less than perfect in many cases simply because the computer effectively "reads" and guesses at what the image says.
Lokim Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Look for the solution from https://www.coolutils.com/TotalDocConverter it is a really nice converter. I have been using it for a long time in order to convert my .doc files to .pdf and everything works really great. I can totally recommend it to you as well
zengvee Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Hi, - You could upload the document to Google Drive and have them convert it to PDF file format. - Or install PDF printer to print the DOC file into PDF file.
dave911 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Online I have used smallpdf_dot_com - they offer heaps of free converters relating to pdf's including doc to pdf.LibreOffice suite has native PDF converter installed - LibreOffice handless doc and docx really well.
Byron Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 This is a pretty good online OCR tool: http://www.onlineocr.net/ 1
vietstar Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Office versions from 2007 or older, you can directly export to PDF, so if you have a .doc file, you can open it up and made into a .pdf file
