PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 I voted yes, but only if it is during free time and the students go outside. I believe that religion should not interfere with everyday school life. Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 24, 2005 Author Posted April 24, 2005 exactly. i remember that they make us watch news everymorning and they were talikng about the pope. i thought what about jews who have to watch this stuff at school? no im not jewish, its just for example. no disrespect to jews Quote
Korps Commander Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Schools should never discuss religion as the curriculum. Religion is a VERY touchy subject, and may spark some violent debates.............. Quote
HerLoss Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Theres another thing thats got me thrown outta history class... lol. Quote
GameClaw_268 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Freedom of religieon... its unconstitutional... YAY! Quote
Korps Commander Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Theres another thing thats got me thrown outta history class... lol. Really? What did you say? Was it the "human-virus" subject? Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 24, 2005 Author Posted April 24, 2005 thats why i think people should never say it because my friend was like "i dont care about the pope, stop telling me about him" and to think he was sent out of class for it! Quote
Korps Commander Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Your friend was absolutely correct. If somebody doesn't care about the pope, why talk to him about it? Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 24, 2005 Author Posted April 24, 2005 yes because obviously the pope is not his religion, but that cant break friendship, or even school discussion, thats why i dont like religion in school. Quote
majazac Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 NO. Freedom of religion. You should decide what you follow and not be punished for not believe in the religion tought Quote
GameClaw_268 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Unfortunantly, religeon and government co-exist to control the masses, and make up consequinces for doing things... government's is just assured. Its pretty hard to completely separate church and state... unless you're Karl Marx. Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 25, 2005 Author Posted April 25, 2005 if you notice, many things in government are based on rules in religion. Quote
majazac Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 that's true. But freedom of religion should be respected. My country is known to be one of the most catholic countries in the world, but we respect religions like budism, protestantism, wicca and so one. We even got a special religion that appeared with the mix of the african religion brought by the slaves and catolicism. Every religion are respected. Altough some institutions (like my college) are ruled by priests, the religious part are optional Quote
myscrnnm Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 if you notice, many things in government are based on rules in religion. Yes, I expect so. Perhaps we should change some of our laws. I mean, despite freedom of religion, I think that not all of us should have 2 suffer under the whim of this religion stuff. Quote
