Mod Squad 6 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I think street art is a complete form of art. Art is about the creativity of everyone and how they choose to express it. I dislike those people who say graffiti is just vandalism and should be scrubbed off. C'mon people: we're supposed to express ourselves and our opinions in this society! and if having to spray it on the side of a building, I sure as hell am goign to do it! Opinions? Quote

Opinions? i've seen some nice graffiti in my lifetime, but why do it on someone else's wall? why not tag up the side of your own house? Quote
ness Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 yeah true. my cousins really good at that stuff. some people even tag on their backbacks. Quote
mushroomz Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Vandalism is ruining other people's property. Something that is not yours and you ruin it. Sure, it's good to express one's self. But there are ways that you can do it without breaking the law. If you truly believe you have the right to deface public property, then you might as well be an anarchist. A lot of graffiti art is quite stunning and I actually find it interesting. Quote
Quantum Media LLC Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 I think that they should have "graffitti parks".... anyone that feels the need to "tag" or "mark" something could just go there and have a ball with it. Quote
mushroomz Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 ^I've seen places like those on the news. But I don't think there are enough places like that. It needs more funding. Quote
Quantum Media LLC Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 well, if the rich bastards like trump or gates would fund them i think that would eliminate some of the vandalism Quote

Zephyrus Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 i've seen some nice graffiti in my lifetime, but why do it on someone else's wall? why not tag up the side of your own house?I think some part of it is that they want the exposure of some place more public. But I do wish they'd ask first. Quote
Gimpro Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Who is it hurting to Grafitti the side of a Rail Car or a building? Grafitti is an art, and beautifies rather dull lifeless buildings Quote
AJKING Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Yes, True i think it is also, i think they should make a wall just for street art in every town/city instead of graffiti Quote
ShannenName Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 They have Graffiti walls were people are allowed to graffiti on but the walls I have seen and most of them get sprayed over. The stupid thing with those is that people vandalize the good work by just sprayed random stuff on there... Quote
Harlequin Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I've seen some very nice "street art" around, but it's like... sorry, but don't vandalise. If you want to pursue that type of art (and have it seen, like on the street) contact city planners or something and ask about painting murals or things on various public buildings that are in need of sprucing up. Or, do it on a canvas in your house. Quote
Demi:Pulse Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Exactly. What makes the sides of the walls so special? 'Cause the work is public? Ppft. You can get some paper and do this. Or a canvas, as said before. Make your work public THAT way... Quote
santa Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Yeah but thats what rich obessionsion people do , Be selfish,Cause if your rich you have nothing to do but sit in a 600,000 dollar jecuzze thats huge. Quote
