awesomegamer Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Should airline passengers have any privacy rights? Quote
PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Yes, just because you choose to use the airline as a form of transportation doesn't mean you should have your privacy rights stripped of you. The majority of airline passengers should be given privacy rights to some extent. Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 24, 2005 Author Posted April 24, 2005 well its maditory by the country its in most times. because the country or state or whatever they go to dont want the bad people. all airlines do is treansport them. why would they care? Quote
GameClaw_268 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 They do have rights, but the airline, being an independant bussiness, says that you have to do what they say, or walk to your destination. A bussiness doesn't have to serve ANYONE... unless it's funded by the government... then the government gets to set the rules. Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 24, 2005 Author Posted April 24, 2005 well thats not exactly true because businesses would just do anything illegal, but i get your point. Quote
GameClaw_268 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 The person has to let them, or they don't let the person use their service. Its that simple. The person has the right not to let them though. Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 24, 2005 Author Posted April 24, 2005 and the person has a right to choose which service and wether or not to do it at all. they can still check your private car between states and countries. Quote
majazac Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Yes. is not becuz you're inside their planes that you have to lose privacy. I mean, I have my space... This should be ilegal Quote
GameClaw_268 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 and the person has a right to choose which service and wether or not to do it at all. they can still check your private car between states and countries. true, but state laws and country laws may change. If you are carring 20 tons of marajuna across the state border, they have to have some way of catching you. Now, they have to have a search warrant or they can't use it against you in court, and you'd be free to go. They can deny you of service or passage though. Quote
awesomegamer Posted April 25, 2005 Author Posted April 25, 2005 thats my point, that even if you dont go on airlines, government can still check, when you cross through states and stuff. Quote
majazac Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I'm in favor of check ups with dogs and devices, but is just humiliating to have youir luggage all messed up. And sometimes it don't fit in again, like the tuna in the can... Quote
myscrnnm Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I think that only people with criminal records, mental illness, or suspicious looking people should b searched. Quote
