Ashoat Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Due to the bad quality of the HelioHost server as of late, I have purchased a new server. It will be up and running sometime towards and end of this month, as it takes some time to correctly configure the server for free hosting. The specs follow: 2 GBs of RAM P4 2.4GHz 160 GBs of HDD 1000 GBs of BW 5 IPs That should be sufficient for a while
Kyougi Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 omg now i wont accidence kill serber by refresh2 any mo!!!!!!1qqqqq1111qq2lol :] For the Win!
Ashoat Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 Well, this is great. The response they gave me: I am sorry for any delay in response. After review, we have decided we can not to offer you services at this time. The Credit Card and/or PayPal Payment has been refunded.
AverageJoe Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Is this is why we had the down time? Do you think you will be able to purchase another server? I hope so because Helionet is the best!!
Ashoat Posted March 14, 2007 Author Posted March 14, 2007 The downtime is because our server can't handle all the heavy requests that have come with increased activity. Hopefully, we'll be able to find a server soon.
Kyougi Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Is this is why we had the down time? Do you think you will be able to purchase another server? I hope so because Helionet is the best!! No it isn't, Lifeless People is the best, their rules are as strict as their uptime.
Ashoat Posted March 14, 2007 Author Posted March 14, 2007 Hey, don't discourage customers Lifeless People only offers forum-based plans. Plus, they don't offer free domains.
Ashoat Posted March 14, 2007 Author Posted March 14, 2007 Are you talking about the customers? >_< Anyways, the same server has been purchased from a different company. Hopefully this company won't refuse me for some random untold reason...
Quantum Media LLC Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Why would they deny you service if you paid for it. Doesnt make sense why they would do that.
Kyougi Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Why would they deny you service if you paid for it. Doesnt make sense why they would do that. Companies sometimes over-sell. djbob was refunded for that other server, though.
Kelso Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Yeah. Sometimes that happens to free hosts too. Rather frusturating, really. There just is no way to tell what is enough. I certainly hope that Helio is here to stay!
Ashoat Posted March 14, 2007 Author Posted March 14, 2007 As I said before, HelioHost isn't going down anytime soon. I might be lazy, but I'm also very persistent
AverageJoe Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Yes hope that Helio is here to stay. I also hope that they can expand, I would like it if the forums were more active. I have tried to give helionet a good review on many websites. Are you'all still looking for a new server still?
