Helions Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 can someone explain to me in simple terms why deja vu occurs? Quote
Helions Posted March 12, 2007 Author Posted March 12, 2007 hey, when you copy and paste from another site, you should give a reference, especially if you altered the text...and wikipedia is not known to be very accurate...it's a good starting place when you want to research something, but usually, people don't like it when you quote wikipedia.. anyways, does anyone get deja vu frequently? Quantum Media LLC Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I get Deja Vu frequently. I, personally, can not explain it, but usually when I have Deja Vu someone else near me also has the same thing. I often will dream something and it comes pretty close to being the same thing that I dream, which could be why I think I am experiencing Deja Vu. Quote
battlelands Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Deja vu is actually (as some scientists belive) a malfunction of the brain, and it just seems to you that it has already exactly similary happened. And yes, it happens to me too sometimes, because no one is perfect. Quote
AverageJoe Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Wow your a genius, I didn't only post that already. I think that is is sort of a malfunction, though I wouldn't call it just that. I bet the brain is doing it for our own good, as it does with many things. For example when you have a bad experience it is implemented in your brain, then the next time something happens of a simliar status your brain tries to give you a felling of what could happen so you would be prepared, or able to prevent the situation from fully occurring again. Quantum Media LLC Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 krazy, the best way to put it is that Deja Vu is when you experience an event, and you tell yourself, or your brain tells yourself that you have already experienced the same event. It really is unexplained why, and there is no scientific facts to explain why. It just happens. Quote
AverageJoe Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Well thats ok, ever wonder what it would be like if we knew everything? I think life would actually be quite boring. Quote
