Korps Commander Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Is communism as powerful as it was in in the 60s and 70s? And are the communist countries now still trying their hardest to convert other nations to their cause?
GameClaw_268 Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 After the collapse of the USSR in the 1990's, communism has stopped spreading, and many countries were liberated. Why? Because the only reason it spread is because the USSR was taking countries over by force, or they already had an even more corrupt government. Ideally, communism is perfect, but people aren't, and therefore it can't work. For one thing, the dictator wouldn't get extra stuff in true communism
HerLoss Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 I think that if a person with good intentions that WASNT a politition became a dictator, it could be a great thing. It just happens to be that nice people with good intentions dont become rulers.
awesomegamer Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 but it would be hard on the people because they would have no choice in the form of vote or anything. and many people would be unhappy just because of this fact, even if they got what theyt want.
Korps Commander Posted April 17, 2005 Author Posted April 17, 2005 If people got what they wanted, why would they be unhappy? If there is no democracy and people are happy, then keep it that way................
HerLoss Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Regardless of if the entire population of the country is happy, at least a third of them should at least be happy that the idiot two thirds of the country doesnt have a say.
majazac Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 the real communism never worked. It satyed only in the papers. The greates example of a so called comunisn is URSS and we all know that a class have more provileges taht others and that thing went so bad and wrong that it imploded.  The real comunism is virtually impossible. People needs a ruler. To organize stuff or even just to blame for the wrongs. And is non-sense that a lower should earn the same that a gardener, for instance, like it did in URSS... Democracy also never existed, since for a democracy to work, people should get do discuss everything in comunitty and then vote to something to be done. Not a president as intermediary. Especially in US, you should get a direct election. In this past election more people voted for Kerry but Bush got elected cuz of the great electors.. That's not really democratic
HerLoss Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Yeah, populations kept growing in some places and they cut off the count for electors, so the places where he did win still had such low elector numbers that it didnt matter.
GameClaw_268 Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 "real" communism is like ants, you get what you need, nothing more, and work most of the time you have. No-leisure time whatsoever. If brainless ants can get it to work, why can't we? Because we have opinions, which is the communism killer.
Korps Commander Posted April 18, 2005 Author Posted April 18, 2005 Have ants ever rebelled against their queen? Ok, back on topic. You get no leisure time in a communist country?! Wow, you must work pretty hard then................
GameClaw_268 Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 they don't have anything to spend leisure time with. Thats one of the main points of communism, no bordom.
Korps Commander Posted April 20, 2005 Author Posted April 20, 2005 People must fall over from exhaustion.........
majazac Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Try to read George Orwell's 1984. It really good and a perfect example of how they work full time
HerLoss Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Basically you work all day for the government, the government regulates what you do to a point that everyone would make the same amout of money, and then the government takes care of all your necessaries like food, shelter, etc. in exchange for your work.
Korps Commander Posted April 20, 2005 Author Posted April 20, 2005 I noticed how Josef Stalin seemed to excersice his powers as a dictator rather than as a communist leader..........what was that all about?
