Kelso Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Try this: go to a website (Yahoo.com, MySpace.com) and type in "java script:document.body.contentEditable='true';%20document.designMode='on';%20void%200" without the quotes, or perhaps bookmark it. Nothing happened, right? Select some text on the page and click delete. Really sweet, huh? You can also modify images and screw up CSS. Look out yahoo, here I come! Quote
kyle Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 where do we put the java script thing? Do we put it in the search engine thing and click submit or what? Quote
AverageJoe Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I think you put it after the address. But does it delete it from the server or just so you can't see it? Quote
kyle Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 i tried to put it after the address, but i clicked it and it didnt work. Am I suppose to click go or something? Quote
Kelso Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 You'd replace the text in the address bar with the javascript. Which browser are you using? Be sure to click "go", or hit the return key. Then, select some text and press delete. You can now edit the page! If it doesn't work for you, click the link below: Edit This Page! Pretty Neat, huh? Quote
AverageJoe Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Can everyone see what you delete or does it only show up on the deleters computer? Quote
Eeor3 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Doesn't work for me, but I did hear a similar thing where you type a similar script in the bar and hit go then all the images will fly all over the page. Pretty cool ffor a parlour trick, can't remember the code though Quote
Quantum Media LLC Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 it just doesnt work....but internet explorer 7 has some new [bleeped!] built in so maybe thats it Quote
Kyougi Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Remove the space between "java" and "script". It's an IPB security "feature". Quote
AverageJoe Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 So, does it change the server, or just change it in your browser? Quote
SoldierOfFortune Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 uber-cool the morphing is sorta limited though Quote
Kyougi Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 So, does it change the server, or just change it in your browser? It's client-side. Quote
Ashoat Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 If it changed the server, I would have some major security holes to correct Quote
