karath Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Still prefer Mozilla Firefox, wasn't made by Microsoft and is stable, and not tied into the actual kernel system, so viruses are harder to kill your system if you use Firefox.
Tbone Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 I'd use Firefox over IE anyday.. I like firefox so much better.. more features and more stable
wwe9112 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 I'm using FF. i have a few mods and plugins installed as well.
joemama718 Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I still support Firefox...but it's such a memory devourer. T_T
karath Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 It doesn't use that much memory, and it isn't inclined to pop-up every now and then IF you have a virus... internet explorer keeps popping up
rod91 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 It doesn't use that much memory, and it isn't inclined to pop-up every now and then IF you have a virus... internet explorer keeps popping up I kid you not, my Firefox is currently using about 150mb of my virtual memory :/ It is a bit of a memory addict, I'm sure they'll find away around patching it someday soon.
shigger Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Firefox! It has a lot of cool stuff. Like ad-ons. But you can't see cursors, and scroll bars.
kyle Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 This is off-topic, but I cant believe that I have started a topic that has 81 replies! This is my first.
naynesh Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 i would go with fire fox Still prefer Mozilla Firefox, wasn't made by Microsoft and is stable, and not tied into the actual kernel system, so viruses are harder to kill your system if you use Firefox. but is firefox used more that the wndows internet
Kyougi Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 but is firefox used more that the wndows internet Hah, if Firefox was the one most commonly used, we'd be complaining more about Firefox and less about IE Still prefer Mozilla Firefox, wasn't made by Microsoft and is stable, and not tied into the actual kernel system, so viruses are harder to kill your system if you use Firefox. In Vista, everything runs in userspace. Nothing has direct access to the kernel and hardware.
AverageJoe Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I think that everyone is forgetting about opera. If your argument is safe and light, opera is the answer. FF is just so [bleeped!] customizable and looks nice.

Marc. Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I used to use Opera, it was good. But I'm still sticking with IE. It's less memory consuming with my pretty cheap computer. Same goes with the reason for not using FF.
naynesh Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 i think internet explorer is better looking because its simple and easy and i like the design.
zette Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Firefox hands down... it's faster, less buggy, nice that it has so many add-ons...
