Quantum Media LLC Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I used to use firefox. I have had many problems with firefox. It never shows up my flash files properly, even with a the plug-in it never worked. It wouldn't show websites that would show up in IE. So, I have switched back to IE and will never use firefox again. I was thinking about using Netscape's explorer, but for now i am sticking with IE

battlelands Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I am using Firefox instead of IE, because I am just used to it, and it is safer and has many features IE doesn't have. Most of all i use tabs which my current old IE doesn't have and I will not update IE because I don't need it.

battlelands Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Then I'll let my friends try... And if anyone occurs any problems I will try to fix.

resin Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 I have just recently started using FF and I have to say it blows IE away I wish I would have switched sooner
AverageJoe Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I fell the same way, FF is just so much better. I love the add ons and the themes. I would highly suggest FF to anyone. And if your complaining becuase it doesn't show the sites th same as IE, well I say IE doesn't show the sites the same as FF. plus theres a add on that lets you open IE for any site you want so you can check to see if the site is shown the same in IE as FF.
kyle Posted March 27, 2007 Author Posted March 27, 2007 wait, FF has themes? I didn't know that. But I still ike IE.
kyle Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 I downloaded FF, and now its my favorite browser. Just because of the themes. But I still hear from other people that IE is better.
Maxdamantus Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Firefox all the way. Gotta love the add-ons, and themes, plus the Gecko based rendering engine (I'd say it renders faster and cleaner than the IE rendering engine, and I believe this is true). It's so much more convenient than Internet Explorer, and the fact that's already pointed out, it's avaliable on almost all operating systems, since it's open source (I use Gentoo Linux).
Nathan Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Firefox, not only for the excellent add-on system, but also for standards compliance. Unless you design a lot of sites, you have no idea how annoying it is to see your compliant site work properly in every browser except IE.
Maxdamantus Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Agreed. The Gecko rendering engine renders so much nicer than the Internet Explorer rendering engine. Open source too.
Mrgames05 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Personally, i like firefox better. Tabs, was my main reason why, but i hear the new internet explorer has tabs aswell, so i'm not sure which is best now
