Kyougi Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 There are still ways around that. The best security against pirates that I've seen is a hardware key that plugs into a USB port. You can't serial or keygen that.
Dragonfire Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 You know that isn't even completely secure. People will then just make programs that temporarily change the hardware ID to the desired one or people will just make cracks that skip that step of validating. There are always many possibilities.

You can't serial or keygen that. whoa. where have you seen that done? and on a side note, adobe does do the register by phone thing, only they've found out how the phone people give you a code from the code you're to give them, and I think it's now possible to generate an activation code based on some code that they give you in the program without calling them. if that makes any sense at all.
Dragonfire Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I think that besides using this method, there are still possibilities of using pirates. People come up with cracks and patches which do not contain the registration or activation feature. Software antipiracy has a long way to go.
Pythonet Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 There is always a leakage in validating any product and nothing is perfectly securable so i think there are still many ways to crack and validate a software without buying the validation key.
