The e-mail address I used during registration is unique to Helionet. It has never been disclosed or used to anyone else. I just received a spam message from someone who was able to obtain this e-mail address.

1. Are you aware of any intrusion?

2. Were passwords taken?

3. Do you know what other personal information might have been accessed?

Thank you.

I have several accounts for testing, all of which have email addresses that were created specifically to make that account and I've never used those email addresses for anything other than creating that one account, and I've never received any emails other than the registration emails. Furthermore, Heliohost does not sell or trade any email addresses or any other personal information we receive.

So you think the entire system is hacked just because of one email you received?

We will check out everything to make sure there is no security risk, but at this time there appears to be no breach.

I also give unique email addresses to every organisation I contact and have since 1992.

I have helped to catch some big spammers and uncovered some frauds that way.

I have had no emails addressed to the one I gave heliohost last February.

HTH

Mike

I meant "no spams" not "no emails", sorry!
