Can I activate feature Send e-mail? I only need it for feature LOST PASSWORD2. How many email can be sent in 1 day or 1 hours? so I'm not getting banned from heliohost3. How can I limit the number of emails sent in one day on phpbb forum? Please Help me Thanks For Reply
Ice IT Support Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 There is a limit of 50 emails per day. I don't think enabling the lost password emails will cause problems, unless you have 50+ users forgetting their password each day Yes, HelioHost supports phpBB3. 1
kucing Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 well ok..what if I enable SMTP email (I use gmail or yahoo smtp) if I use the SMTP function? fixed limit of 50 emails per day?or if I use and activate the feature send SMTP email then my account would not got banned ?
Ice IT Support Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 If you use another email server, the email limit does not apply. However, you can still be suspended for causing high server load. You should be fine.

Ice IT Support Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 You can't monitor your individual server load. If you feel you are causing high load, you can create a topic to ask an admin to check.
kucing Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 oh ok I did not enable the Send Emailbecause I do not want my account got suspend or banned
Ice IT Support Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 A suspension isn't the end of the world, it is our way of saying, "Hey, you need to calm down a bit." A suspension is our way of notifying you. The problem is we can't tell legit content from malicious content, so a suspension may seem harsh to some, but it really is not. My suggestion is to try it. If there is a problem, we will let you know. No harm done, no big deal.

The board is not that active, only a few a day, and have not tried to send a mass-email yet, which would be more than 50. These are the settings I use if you want to try to set yours up.
