We have a saying here at my house. Look before you sit, and look beofre you piss. If the seats up and you need it down, put it down. And if its down and you need it up, put it up. Very simple logic...

ok... but what is the cost of cleaning later or even lowering the seat after?

The cost is very low, unless of course you have an over-active bladder. But even then, wiping the seat with a tissue each time is of microscopic cost.

That's my point.... They would'nt invent a sit unless it was to be used

Well, the seat is obviously required. But I think that it doesn't matter if it is left up or down. I mean, why do people make such a big deal out of it?!

I know! It takes literally a second to two seconds to lift the seat or put it down! Why is everyone so lazy?

I expect it started with that thing where people say that it is an unwritten law where women have to go first, and now people are making a trivial matter into a full-fledged rebellion.

I do move it, and a while ago my mom used to yell at me for leaving it up, but not anymore, I outlasted her. So now we go by everyone changes it when it needs to be, except my little bro who pees in it no matter what, but he's kinda stupid.

How did we get from a joke to discussing bathroom ediquite...?

Well, I always close the lid and all, not that it matters.
