awesomegamer Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I usually do most of my html, ecetera,.. work in notepad. i do all the work myself. then i add it into dreamweaver just for quick edits, changes, anmd i can duplicate a file so i dont have to keep writinh the same code. i havent used anything else except a simple wyswing which is basicly adding text, setting links, putting images, and it generates the code, its not too good. so i choose dreamweaver Quote
GameClaw_268 Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Notepad, simple, doesn't mess up ur code, and no matter how many times you open it ur computer isn't gonna slow down... unless they're 20mb files... Quote
nilayz Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 WYSIWYG editors are not at all good. I used to use Netscape Composer during my early web designing days back in 1998... but soon I realized that it was doing me no good. I switched to Windows Notepad... and still use that to write my HTML as well as PHP pages. I use Dreamweaver only when the PHP pages shows an error... its easy to find the line numbers using Dreamweaver. Quote
Snowboardalliance Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 I use notepad++ for quick editting (just simple text-editor with syntax highlighting and tabbed windows) And I use HTML-Kit because I can easily paste code etc. It is not WYSIWG so it doesn't mess up pages. Google it. Quote
