tablecat Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I have been trying to access my website at http://tablecat.co.cc/ and it seems to have gone missing. This is not the usual downtime I experience, I've never seen this 404 page turn up before. The default domain http://ipyo.heliohost.org/ turns up nothing. Then I tried to log in through cPanel through heliohost.org and it tells me that my username does not exist in the database. This is very alarming.
cl58 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Did you log into your cPanel at least once every thirty days?
tablecat Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Yes, I did. A month or so ago my website was temporarily suspended for inactivity, but I was able to reactivate it without any issues. Ever since I have made it a habit to log in to cPanel regularly.
cl58 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Please post the following information:Your cPanel username Your main domain The server that you are on
tablecat Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Alright. 1. Adjutant2. ipyo.heliohost.org3. Stevie (I think, there was only one when I signed up)
cl58 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I'm sorry, but that account is not in our database. Unfortunately, it seems as though it was deleted for some reason. We do not keep backups of websites so there is no way to recover your information. Feel free to make a new account. Thank you for using HelioHost.
tablecat Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 This is upsetting. I've been using this service for 4 years now and my web site is deleted just like that without any reason. Without knowing how something like this could happen, I don't think I could trust heliohost anymore.
cl58 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I am very sorry that this happened, but there is simply nothing I can do. We cannot back up every users website because we do not have the resources. I hope that you have a backup of your site so you have not lost anything. If you choose to leave HelioHost, we would miss you, but I would understand. If there was anything I could do, I would, but I cannot. I apologize again on behalf of HelioHost.
