how can i install CGIProxy version 2.0.1.0006 on my HelioNet Host

hello , at first i should to say i did not install any CGI on any host before and im new in this types of scripts !! :unsure: now i need to install CGIProxy version 2.0.1.0006 on my host , i tried with http://install.xav.com/?p=cgiproxy but i got error for perl and etc , anymore , i need a step 2 step guide to install this CGI script on my host , please hellp me to create cgiProxy like this http://lodgeus.com/cgi-bin/nph-get.cgi/000000A/http/

And download the latest version of cgiproxy file here:

Upload it to your cgi-bin and unzip and your ready to go.

 

They have older version gzips if you want one but they recommend using the latest version.

hey , thank you for your reply , i know how to download and upload and CHMod it to 555 and run it on host , i want to create like this " http://lodgeus.com/cgi-bin/nph-get.cgi/000000A/http/ " 100% like this , in other words i want to copy it and create like it on my host !!!

Make sure you chmod it to 755.

 

I'm not exactly sure I understand what your saying but this is how it works on my site. This is the proxy url, which should only work for me because I don't want anybody else using it:

 

http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.pl

 

If I want to use it to connect to this forum, my url looks like this:

 

http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.pl/000000A/http/www.helionet.org/index/

your cgi proxy did not work !! i want to configuration jmarshall cgiProxy like : http://lodgeus.com/cgi-bin/nph-get.cgi/000000A/http/ to use it as front query in handler applications , this web proxy site Filtered in my country thats why i cant use it !! at default mod my cgi proxy give me this address for visiting google.com : http://front.infiniteserve.com/cgi-bin/nph...www.google.com/ , but if you visit it by thats cgi site http://lodgeus.com/cgi-bin/nph-get.cgi/000.../www.google.com , it's removed proxy addres bar and browse anonymously !! its like anongoogle.com , anonlove.com and etc

Yes I know it didn't work. That proxy in my cgi-bin only works for me. Here's a temp proxy to see if this is what you want?

All you need to do is upload or ftp this gzip to your site and ungzip it and then untar it.

If I'm not mistaken it will end up in your root directory but you can move it to any directory after that. It will be ready to go just like mine after it's unzipped.
