Please let me know if u manage to fix urs jperana, i have same issue of 500 error and unable to get in it.

changed pwd, cleared cache, tried another browser, Firefox gives white screen after clicking GO to login and chrome gives 500 server error.

i think the update is completed...had to delete and restore database so its working now...But i still am unable to login to phpmyadmin, it gives server error 500 after i click login.
