Thank you for replying.. Yes.. I have added my public ip to remote mysql host list. Do I need to change something in my "my.cnf" ? My website is not yet up.. its queued only... May be that is the problem??

I am trying to connect to my database in stevie.heliohost.org from my ubuntu terminal.. "$ sudo mysql -h stevie.heliohost.org -u malu -p [sudo] password for malutty: Enter password: ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'stevie.heliohost.org' (110)" I have given my cPanel user name and password.. What can I do to make the connection? What am I doing wrong??
