Seems alright to me: http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=lolcandyshop.com&rec=ALL
You need to wait up to 24 hours before the servers would update the nameservers. The ones in the queue are updated once the server is not busy.

This is what I saw in the Customer Feedback section of the forums (click View Suggestions then look at each page for "rails"):
"why heliohost. "At this time Rails 3.0 is not supported" ? I need rails 3.2.12 "
anonymous, Bandung
We actually did support rails 3.0+ for a while, but no one could figure out how to use it. A few months ago the decision was made to downgrade back to 2.3.14 for better compatibility with cPanel. Now we host dozens of working RoR applications. What is better cutting edge software that no one can use, or an older version that works well for large number of people?
We will definitely be upgrading as soon as it's available, or we may upgrade sooner but it would require a great deal of custom code.

When did you set up your NS records? It usually takes 24 hours before all nameservers are fully updated, so when a wrong entry is returned, you'll get a 404 error. I got those problems too when I moved one of my sites to a different host.
I could view your website though, and I don't get 404 Errors. Did you already tried clearing your cache?
As for email, they are the same as yesterday, still has the old values.
By the way, when I setup my own domain, I only have to set the DNS records and nothing else, because the other ones will be added by HelioHost. They could be accessed in the cPanel too (Domains > DNS Zone Editor).

Not sure if it works on suspended account, but did you already tried this script? http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/delete
-
How did you setup your MX records? I checked your MX records but they are quite different from websites that I administer. They have extra entries in there:
Your website: http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=algby.com&rec=MX
Mine: http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=kyoushuu.tk&rec=MX
(Yes, I don't know much about emails, just trying to help )
Also, did you properly added the e-mail account (in Email Accounts area) and set the default address (in Default Address area) in HelioHost's cPanel? (They are in the Mail section).

You were probably suspended because of Multiple Accounts Policy. I checked your posts and you haven't asked permission to have one account each on Stevie and Johnny.
Delete one of your accounts or ask permission to have two accounts. If you want two accounts, provide the reason why you need two accounts then wait for a Moderator/Administrator's approval/rejection.
-
If that's the case, you have to login to your cPanel, go to Databases section then click phpMyAdmin. Then follow the instructions here. You probably only need to follow the "Changing the URL directly in the database" section, since you're not changing your webhost, just the URL.
Edit: By the way, I recommend you create a backup first in case you do something wrong while following the instructions.

Please follow the instructions here to move your account to Stevie: http://wiki.helionet.org/Moving_your_account
Registrations at Stevie opens up at 00:00 PST/PDT. You could check here to see what time the registration in Stevie lasts.

Dear HelioHost, I change my domain and I have a big problem. I can't load my webpage to the end, I can't useing my WordPress panel (I don't know why it was on the old domain).
Changing your domain won't automatically update the domain of WordPress.
To update it:
- Login to cPanel.
- Go to Software/Services section, click Softaculous.
- Click the box icon in the upper right that says "All Installations".
- Click the "Edit Details" icon beside your installation of WordPress.
- Update "URL" field then click "Edit Installation Details" button.
If you manually used the old domain in your posts, you may have to manually edit them just like what byron suggested.
Edit: You could also do this in WP Panel > Settings > General.
- Login to cPanel.

On my cpanel, I am trying to create a subdomain called:mail.clovisd.com or mail.clovisd.heliohost.org
The mail subdomain is used for IMAP and SMTP so you cannot use that one.
also, when trying to access mail.clovisd.com, I get forwarded to my old host, website is coming soon pageIt takes some time (usually about 24 hours) before all nameservers will be updated, that's why you will be forwarded to your old website.
50% of the time, when trying to acces clovisd.com, I get forwarded to my old host's suspended page. 25% of the time, I am forwarded to an error page: Internal Server error 25%: of the time, I get sent to Account Queued Heliohost.net page.Same reason as the one before.
3. This brings me onto my next point, I created my account over 28 hours ago and it is still in que? This doesn't add up with what the que script tells me (it says my account is already activated and working).
If the server is quite busy, it may take more than 24 hours before your domain will be processed. I don't know why it says it is already activated and working though (I also experienced that before), probably it is already processed and waiting for the nameservers to be fully updated.
4. I have created subdomains, such as proxy.clovisd.com and these already have webfiles in them, however, everytime I try and visit it, I get this error:
I tried visiting that page and what I got is an empty page. Do you have an .htaccess file in there? Try renaming it if there's one.
And this thread seems related: http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/17225-answered-500-internal-server-error

I just checked http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=bakielani.tk&rec=NS and it seems that you haven't properly set the Custom DNS of your domain. The expected output is similar to this: http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=kyoushuu.tk&rec=NS
To set Custom DNS, here's an example from http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/17279-answered-change-my-domain-name/:
By the way, when did you registered your domain and for how many months?
-
Additionally, do you have a certain age limit for hosting your website?
I don't think there's any, I've read lots of the pages in their webhosting, forum and wiki site but I haven't seen anything that says something about an age limit.
-
Seems like it's already out of the queue, I could see the contents of your public_html folder (which currently only contains cgi-bin folder). Please clear your cache.
-
Do you accept "ADDON DOMAINS" in cPanel ?
As stated in the signup page, you could host unlimited addon domains . More info here.
-
Select Custom DNS instead. Use ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org as hostnames and leave the IP Address fields blank as stated here.
Then if you want to change the domain name of your main website, you have to use this script. If you just want to change/add an addon domain, go to cPanel > Domains > Addon Domains.
Note that there is a queue for adding and changing domains, and you have to wait for up to 24 hours before it will take effect.
-
When did you add your domain? Adding domains are queued too, and usually takes up to 24 hours.

My name is Arnel, I'm a Filipino and currently 20 years old. My hobby is computer programming and watching anime. I'm currently one of the developers of GNOME Music. My interest in computers started with building websites, then I moved on to computer programming. And now I'm back to building websites
I found HelioHost while looking for a good webhost that allows remote MySQL access.
I have experience with Vala (the programming language I use the most), Python (for GNOME Music), JavaScript (websites and previously for GNOME Music too), C, PHP, etc.
I'm currently a BS Computer Engineering college student.

HelioHost don't require ads :D/&--#62;
As long as you follow the Terms of Service, don't do something that might get you suspended, and login on your account for at least once a month in their home page, you could host your website in HelioHost.

Just log-on to your control panel then go to Addon Domains (in Domains section in cPanel home).
Fill up the form in the page that will be opened, then click Add Domain button. This will automatically setup A records, etc.
Then setup the nameservers (DNS) of your domain to ns1.heliohost.org and ns1.heliohost.org as stated here. If you're using dot.tk, they call it as Custom DNS (leave the IP address blank).
Afterwards, you have to wait about 24 hours for your domain to be added from the queue.
If you want to manually add A records, use the Simple or Advanced DNS Zone Editors available in the Domains section of your cPanel.
-
Seems like it is a problem with your domain provider. You probably failed to pass dot.tk's requirements for your domain name.
Freenom (dot.tk) requires a minimum 25 hits per 90 days, and the domain be renewed within two weeks or less before expiration. Otherwise, your domain will be parked to advertisements. See their FAQ and Policies (especially "10.3. Restrictions on Use of FREE DOMAIN" section) for more info.
-
I also experience the same problem, it started a few minutes ago. Also when I opened up Thunderbird, it asked permission again for the SSL certificate of my e-mail hosted on HelioHost. Did the SSL certificate changed?
-
I don't think the question on Stack Overflow would be able to help him to understand your problem. It has the same contents as your first post in this thread.
You could give the steps that you did (separated into short sentences), the result you expected, and the result that showed up instead. Also, please use directly the e-mail instead of using pronouns to easily distinguish the e-mails from each other.
-
Thank you for granting the request Krydos. Do I simply apply through the sign up procedure link at Heliohost? (I assume so) I assume I create a new username for Johnny account?
You need to apply with a new username in HelioHost, in a different server.
Do I keep my current HelioNET username, or have a separate one for the second account? You should use the same HelioNet username so that the moderators could easily find what HelioHost accounts belong to you.

in Questions

Just set your custom DNS to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org like this:
More info here. Note that it takes around 24 hours before it would fully take effect.
