  1. Hi,

    cPanel - msnyder

    domain - receipestation.com

    server - johnny

everything I researched indicated the server isn't supporting sha-256. I did just recently have a self signed certificate installed also. Here is PayPal link talking about the changes being made and also the G5 root certificate...

    https://www.paypal-knowledge.com/resources/sites/PAYPAL/content/live/FAQ/1000/FAQ1766/en_US/2015%20Merchant%20Security%20System%20Upgrade%20Guide%20%28U.S.%20English%29.pdf

    I was testing against sandbox.

    Thank you.

  2. I installed a self-signed certificate because I am the only one using this as testing when I have time. It said successful install but I still get the message above. I don't care about the warning I get first and just click the link to go to the site.

  3. Hi, I wondered about a certificate. This is something I am not familiar with and learning. Is it something can create a self signed certificate or need to purchase? Where are they installed? Do I need to post these questions in a different forum?

Thanks for any help and direction.

  4. Hi, I see there is a dedicated IP. Is there anything else I need to do because if I use https://www.receipestation.com I get the following:

Ahoy! You're seeing this page because HelioHost has not gotten about to installing and configuring your account yet. This process usually takes about 24 hours, and once it is complete your website should show up properly. While the account is being created we suggest taking a look at your control panel.

    thanks.

  5. I have been testing a cURL script for PayPal's IPN that used to work. Now I get the following error when trying to Postback to get validation (IPN):

    error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure.

Do the HH servers support SHA256 as it looks like PayPal updated theirs earlier this year.

Support SHA-256. PayPal is upgrading SSL certificates on all Live and Sandbox endpoints from SHA-1 to the stronger and more robust SHA-256 algorithm.

You will need to update your integration to support certificates using SHA-256.

Discontinue use of the VeriSign G2 Root Certificate. In accordance with industry standards, PayPal will no longer honor secure connections

that require the VeriSign G2 Root Certificate for trust validation. Only secure connection requests that are expecting our

certificate/trust chain to be signed by the G5 Root Certificate will result in successful secure connections.

If they do not, when will they?

    Thanks.

  6. When I try and log into cPanel I get the following :

Thank You for installing cPanel / WHM.

Once the license on this server is active, you will no longer see this message. If you have installed a license since loading this page, click here to reload.

What do I need to do to get back in? (server - Johnny:)

    Thank you

    msnyder

  7. Hi,

I have been successful in logging into cpanel but when I go to the web site I get the IE error:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

I checked the registrar and it is still an active domain so was wondering if something was up on this end?

  8. MSN has blocked us. It looks like AOL has done the same. If the cox is still rejecting us, it's probably for the same reason.

So basically what your saying is most places I would try and send an email is going to be blocked and there's no way around it except to find another host who hasn't been black listed?

Have you tried the webmail frontends to the helihost mail? Could be a config issue with Outlook.

Have any good suggestions of free ones? The ones I've seen are pay.

...Cpanel comes with free web mail clients (Cpanel > Mail > Webmail). Are we talking about the same thing here?

We must be talking different things. I have used Horde and Squirrel mail when logging into cPanel. But it still has the issue if I create a autoresponder of not working with previous mentioned sites. I have seen different applications that can be setup to send response that must somehow change the domain or IP so they won't be rejected.

9-15-09: Do you have any ideas so the autoresponse won't be rejected?

  12. AOL's error message indicates that it's blocking us. The cox.net one should only be a temporary problem.

I'll try the cox one tomorrow and see. A different aol shows the following:

SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<msnyder@stevie.heliohost.org>:

host mailin-03.mx.aol.com [205.188.109.56]: 550 REQUESTED ACTION NOT TAKEN:

    DNS FAILURE

Is this because heliohost is on some blacklist and their servers reject it because they think it is spam? I also read about reverse DNS does that need to be setup somewhere? I aslo think MSN got bounced but couldn't find the rejection becasue the person I had try it said they did not get the response. In cpanel I see one area for email where setup mx and spf. Is that anything I need to worry about?

Adding 9/3/09: The cox account is still rejected as well as hotmail and msn.

  13. Are you sending and receiving from only @aol.com addresses?

    Hi djbob,

I have tried from @aol.com, @cox.net, and @gmail.com. The only one to get a response was @gmail.com all the others fail.

This is part of the cox message:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    mjebomaha@cox.net

SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:

    host mx.east.cox.net [68.1.17.3]: 554 eastrmimpi01.cox.net IMP 65.19.143.2

    rejected - no rDNS

    ...

This evening when I open outlook and it sends/receives I get an error box with the following:

Task 'ReceipeStation - Receiving' reported error (0x80040900) : 'The server name you entered can not be found on the network (it might be down temporarily). Please verify that you are online and that the server name is correct.'

  14. Are these problems still occurring?

Yes, the problems are still happening. I still don't get the autoresponse and if I look at the inbox it has a message like: (between the ****)

    ************************************************************

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 24 hours on the queue on stevie.heliohost.org.

    The message identifier is: 1MhaKS-0001HD-P9

The subject of the message is: RE: where r these goign to?

The date of the message is: Sat, 29 Aug 2009 21:39:47 -0500

The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:

    Space4U2@aol.com

Delay reason: SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:

    host mailin-04.mx.aol.com [64.12.138.88]: 421-:

    (RLY:CH) http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/554rlych.html

    421 SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE

No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up, and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.

    *********************************************************

I am wondering if it has something to do with 2 email addresses? I have noticed the when I login to get mail there is a separate folder for webmaster@receipestation.com which I see some emails but others are shown when I just click inbox, all the mail deliver error messages.

I also get an IE warning when opening Outlook 2003 and checking for mail that says the server you are connecting to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. A cerficate chain processed, but not terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider. Do you want to continue? I click yes. It then retrieves the mail.

  15. I have 2 question dealing with emails.

    1.

I created a webmaster email account for my domain and created an autoresponder for that account. However, when I use the link on the web page to send an email, I don't receive the auto response.

My email account setup as webmaster@mydomain.com

Autoresponder setup as characterset: utf-8, email: webmaster@mydomain.com, from:Webmaster, subject:%subject%, body: my message.

Is there something I am not setting up correctly?

    2.

Other things I have done: setup my Outlook 2003 email to receive/send from webmaster@mydomain.com. When I run the Test account settings, everything passes the test. However, If I get an email from my domain and try to reply to it I get a DAEMON error and I don't know why ( is it something with my ISP?).

Outlook 2003 is setup with the following settings:

    Incoming mail server (POP3): stevie.heliohost.org

    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): stevie.heliohost.org

    username: webmaster@mydomain.com

    password:xxxxxxx

    Outgoing server tab:

checked My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication & radiobutton Use same settings as my incoming mail server

    Advanced tab:Port Numbers

Incoming server (POP3): 995 with the check box checked for requires encrypted connection

outgoing server (SMTP): 465 with check box checked for requires encrypted connection

    Thanks
