  1. This has been happening to people who were suspended for inactivity and renewed themselves. It shows as active for me in the system, but is quite clearly suspended when I visit it, and won't unsuspend when I tell it to.

The renewal script is just broken I think.

Escalating so an admin can unsuspend it manually.

Thank you very much. I patiently await the resolution of this issue.

  2. a. your HelioHost username: adjutant

    b. the server your account is on: stevie

    c. your HelioHost main domain: ipyo.heliohost.org

I went through the account renewal form and it didn't work. I am able to successfully login to cpanel, but website is still suspended. I receive the following message with continued renewal attempts:

We're sorry, but we either could not find that account in the database, or it is not listed as inactive. Please contact an administrator if you feel this message is in error.

I have cleared the cache and flushed DNS. Still suspended.

  3. I'm sorry but it doesn't seem to have been solved. Unless it was automatically suspended again overnight. I would at the very least like to make a backup of my site.

When I try to renew the account, I receive the following error message:

    >We're sorry, but we either could not find that account in the database, or it is not listed as inactive. Please contact an administrator if you feel this message is in error

  4. Information

    a. your HelioHost username : adjutant

    b. the server your account is on: don't remember, stevie I think

    c. your HelioHost main domain: ipyo.heliohost.org

I put my username on account renewal like usual but now it says that it is not recognized. If it is related to a script taking too many resource, is it possible to know which so I could take it out?

  5. I wasn't sure which section to place this thread in, so 'Other Discussion' will have to do.

People always ask me, "hey Tablecat, when are you going to get a real webhost?" All I can say is, this is a real webhost. A good one! And it's free! Today I had been reminiscing about all those other personal websites I used to visit, which have since gone offline. I am very pleased that mine is still online, with a free webhost no less. When people ask me to get a "real webhost", they mean that I should switch to a paid webhosting service. When they think about 'free webhosting' their first thoughts are "unstable", "transient", and "bad service". Thus far, my experiences with Heliohost have been neither of these.

Now, it was not all perfect. I remember one time I had forgotten to log in in 30 days and my account was completely wiped off the server! I was very upset, but since then the system has improved. Now whenever you don't log in after 30 days, you are still given a grace period to recover your site simply by entering your username. Very simple and fast. However, there had been other situations when my account would've been wiped on other free webhost servers, but not on Heliohost. I am thankful for Heliohost's willingness to deal with my sometimes errant scripts in a non-kneejerk manner.

Quite honestly, I am just thankful that Heliohost is still around, which in turn allows my website to still be around under the exact same URL address. So yeah, I'm just dropping by to recognize my personal 5+ year experience with Heliohost. I hope Heliohost will continue its free webhosting success long into the future.

  6. I have added new stuff on my site, however the new script that I had it had been working fine for several days. In fact, this happened right when I was using one of the new scripts. And it happened twice. The first time, the scripts went down overnight, the next morning they were working. Then later that day they stopped working again. I figured it was only temporary again, but it has been several days already. Not sure what could have happened to lock up the scripts individually to my account.

  7. When I attempt to addon a domain I get the following error:

Error from park wrapper: tablecat.co.cc is controlled by another user. You cannot park it.

Similarly, when I attempt to add a parked domain I get this error:

Error from park wrapper: hotglue.co.cc is controlled by another user. You cannot park it.

I wonder if my account being previously deleted did not also delete the parked domains as well.

  8. I have properly set up a parked domain. However, it points to the old addon domain instead of being a parked domain.

For example, my domain hotglue.co.cc used to point to public_html/hotglue/

I removed the addon domain because I now want it to point to public_html/

However, it is still points to public_html/hotglue/

Is this something that will go away with time or does some body need to do something about it? I've removed and added the parked domain twice and that doesn't seem to do the trick.

  9. As title says. I can't seem to be able to add a subdomain.

I go to the add subdomain page, I fill out the form properly, and it even tells me 'subdomain has been created'.

But when I got back to the add subdomain page, it's as if I had done nothing! It says 'no subdomains'

  10. Also, how is PHP ImageMagick working without Ghostscript?

It doesn't because it has nothing to do with the programming language. ImageMagick uses Ghostscript for thumbnailing PDF files. ImageMagick is called by a covert command, which has nothing to do with programming language used to call the command in the first place. Observe:

[17-Sep-2009 15:41:58] PHP Fatal error:  Uncaught exception 'ImagickException' with message 'Postscript delegate failed '
