  1. Yep, I was nicely surprised when I stumbled on that PHP mail script, it was JUST what I needed. I thought it would be a royal pain in the rear to get set up. It wasn't.

I'll have to work on learning PHP; bet I can do more with that than I do now. ^^ I do plan on saving that however; who knows what will happen in the future.

I am wondering if that could be gotten to work however, if you played with it, you'll see it is pretty darned nice. I am saving that; who knows, if things get better I can bring it back.

  2. I told her to give her ISP a punt(call them and yell at them); sometimes on other servers when that crap happens, the isp itself is being a stick in the mud, from my experience. Tho if it is a DNS issue here I'd like to know. :)

[Edit]The hard reload did the trick. She sees it now. Proly just a mess yesterday and isp being stick in the mud. If you want to know, I've seen something similar happen with RPGamer (if you know rpgs you know what that is) when it was seemingly down for a week, when it was Bellsouth being a royal pain in the south end and blocking it by mistake. I don't know how it happens, I'm not that big a nerd. I just know it does.

  3. No, she isn't using that toolbar plugin, but she'll clear cache and see what happens.

[Edit] should know about the other in a second, but if you wanna talk vb web form, topic's here ^^

[Edit again]She's still getting the same message, and as I said, no yahoo toolbar. /shrug I also checked at Down For Everyone or Just Me and it shows it is up. She can't get it to work at all even though that, however. I'm guessing it is a ISP problem for her.

  4. As people know, I had to move from a paid host. A friend had been hosting my pages for years; I moved here b/c of what is offered and I'd basically be able to keep my page in one piece without changing things too much. With one exception. Seems Johnny hates my .aspx web forms. I was able to change scripts but..Anyway.

Here's the form on my old page, which is not being updated b/c of the takedown at the end of the month

I'll zip up and post the code for this for a moment, since my friend ALSO wrote that web form. It's hosted on his business website, and he's taking that down, which is why I had to move in the first place. Though if anyone can figure out how to get that working once I get the code up, I'd appreciate it!

[Edit] Okay here, that's the actual code. I'll fix it later for those that want to use it.

  5. Ok. I've been noticing the whole site, including the board, has been mostly down all day. Just came back up for me.

A friend just checked my site, she says it's down. It's up for me and everything's working properly (including a mail form script). Is the DNS issues worse than we thought? My site's at http://maryadavies.heliohost.org/ . This is just annoying and I do want this to stop now that I finally moved in. ^^

  6. Shin; that is wierd. I do have webring on there but it shouldn't be doing that.

As for me, I'm a Firefox user, I've tried to do it in browser several times and (this is proly my slow pc though) it freezes, so CCleaner does the job. Thanks for the information though. ^^

  7. While moving my pages, I noticed you have a subdomain feature, which I meant to use for two of my sites (neither is large). However, they aren't working right. The offending subdomains are at elizaraslighthouse.maryadavies.heliohost.org and rpgamerboard.maryadavies.heliohost.org. Can you please check on that? Thank you!

Just for further info, it's acting like it hasn't been set up and taking you to the page where you'd be taken if your page wasn't set up.
