  1. This, with an upgraded GFX card, is what I'm planning to get:

    http://emachines.com/products/products.htm...eMachines_T6524

Thats pretty sweet, and pretty cheap. I'm kinda wary of PCI video cards... but whatever. Anyways, shows how much prices are going down. I paid a little over a grand for my:

    AMD Athlon 64 2800+ 1.81GHz

    512 MB RAM

    MSI Radeon 9250 AGP 128MB

    150 GB Hard Disk

    Sony DVD+/-RW DL

The CyberPower XBlade case w/ temp panel/fan controls

One of them 8-in-one flash media drives

    A floppy drive

    And a 19"-ish ViewSonic UltraBrite E70f+ moniter

I'm lookin to double my ram, upgrade my video card and my CPU.

  2. Skin looks great, but is it just me or does it load a little slower?

Edit: Scratch that, It was just the first time loading the graphics. Now everything is nice and smooth.

BTW, quick edit is pretty cool.

  3. Well, all of my friends go game-browsing by graphics, picking up every good-looking case they see and reading the back of it to get a "feel." Not everyone of the gamers community reads the reviews before selecting a game, though, I try to warn as many people as I can to do so...

I read reviews even before shelling out 6 bucks for a game for my cell. Basically, if I'm spending money on it, it had better have a decent review, which sucks nowadays with the copy-protection they put on the new games, I have to read reviews constantly if I cant test it out first.

  4. Laser tag is always fun. We jury-rigged a bunch of platforms and 2x6 walkways way up in the trees in the woods for that, paintball, and airsoft. Oh, and just jumping out of a tree on top of someone for no reason at all.

  5. 3 bestbuy giftcards, one $250 and two $25.

    Cashcard for my prepaid cell

an Atari Flashback (basically an original atari, only it was made like this year)

Oreo's, x-mas style peeps, and other sugary substances

    A new Gerber multi-tool

    DCI legal card sleeves

    a 20 from my g-ma

    Parts for my truck

And my dads epiphone, valued at over $1200

  6. Cheap games are awesome as long as the gameplay is good, and there doesnt have to be a story line, but if there is one it had beeter be a good one. As far as what you said about first impressions, I know I dont just go to EB because I feel like picking up a game, I go when I know exactly what game or games I wanna get after reading several reviews from several people with different gameplay preferences. Even when I do spot a game that looks interesting I take a look at everything printed on it, and ask anyone who happens to be working there at the time what they think of it. The only game I ever got for the graphics was Doom 3, and I was EXTREMLY dissapointed with it.

  7. You probobly have to do the offers that actually cost money, be it a credit card that you need to actually make a purchase on to record the offer, or do one of the free cell phones with like 3 year contract, stuff like that. There isnt a single one of these that I know of that you dont have to pay to qualify.

  8. gameclaw already said this wasn't the first time. besides, that paint thing was just cheap.

I wouldn't say cheap. It was merely a simple but effective way to bypass the filter.

Which is against the mother [bleeped!] rules

Can't help but saying: so is that

what the hell!? I thought we had a filter for that!!

  9. Thats not a valid comparison. I mean, the PSP has ATV Off Road, and the DS has Mario Kart, now which one should you choose? See my point? You cant take one of the worst games on a system and compare it to one of the better games on another system.

  10. F*uck you too there little buddy

How come I was banned for swearing? I mean, this is more cheap (for those of you against saying 'cheaper') than my thing, he just put a little asterisk inside.

Because I only used the word once, and you are a straight up [bleeped!].

  11. PC's as they are far more capable of having the latest hardware/software etc

Not necessarily. For instance, the PowerMac G5 and iMac G5 have powerful IBM PowerPC processors, better than any AMD out there, and more powerful than lots of Intel chips. And in terms of software, Macs are unrivalled, with the new Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, there is no operating system like it.

Thats their cpu, not the rest of their hardware. You cant pop a brand spanking new graphics card hot off the line into a laptop.

  12. All this typically means is that is what it is capable of doing. You just need to buy eith CD Rewriteable discs or DVD Rewriteable discs.

Yeah, but theres supposed to be dvd's that have two layers of data, doubling it's capacity. I have cd-r/rw's and dvd-r's, but I dont have and have never seen dual layer DVD's.

  13. Advent: T9306

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 650 Processor with HT 3.4GHz

DVD/CD RW: Dual Layer DVD Rewriter

    Hard Disk: 360GB (7200 RPM)

    Memory: 2048 DDR2 533MHz (2GB Dual Channel)

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X600 256MB PCI

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 2)

    Monitor: Xerox 19" LCD

Allright, just out of curiosity, have you ever seen a double layer DVD+/-R/RW? I bought a double layer writer as well, just for that purpose, but I have never seen writable media for it.

  14. Uhh, he is letting you see the post, "Message after filtering is:

First of all, [bleeped!] the [bleeped!] DS! Second of all, [bleeped!] you, you [bleeped!] [bleeped!] [bleeped!]!" Thats what it said, only it was a "Paint!" style image using text in order to bypass the filters.
