id have to say that the most powerful is C++, course im a lil biased
for it.
but they all have their uses,
visual basic is really good for beginners, my first language was vb6.
java is great for simple, casual or internet games.
c# has managed memory and is great for tools development, xna.
edit: also OpenGL isnt really a programming language its an API

3. Coffee and asprin!
if you've ever had a dead line looming with a half done project you'll know what i mean.
Oh yeah! Those two things keep you alive during Crunch Time.
and my addition to the list would have to be: source control
if youve ever worked with a team on a large project source control is a god send!

Hi everyone!
Im brand new to this place and i thought that HN had one of the coolest ways of
web hosting ive seen. Truly a unique and refreshing idea.
Anyway Im 25, male, blah blah blah. I went to a school called Full Sail down in
FL and got a BS in Game Development. Right now im stuck doing some web
design, which I actually find incredibly boring, but it does pay the bills, if only
barely... and I have a few side projects of my own that are keeping me
entertained, even if they are creeping along at an a snails pace.
But anyway I plan on using the site to build a project archive slash independant
developer... thing, and maybe throw up some tutorials or something.

the best is still the pc provided you have the money to put a beefy one together.
but my second choice would have to be the 360, then the ps3, followed by the
ds and the psp. just my opinion tho.
