Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know the form as I have built several sites and demos using cpanel in my life. I totally checked all of it, the name, username, password, and if it's in the database already (the username). I tried it just now, tried with the old, created new database and username, tried it... still comes up with the error.

I recently installed Wordpress and when I am on the install page I put all the required information and I still get error: Error establishing a database connection This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down. Are you sure you have the correct username and password? Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname? Are you sure that the database server is running? I have checked my databases. I am very sure that my user is in the database with all the permissions. Maybe localhost is causing the problem? TIA.
