  1. According to stats CPU, Memory and Swap are OK Then what is happening to the HTTP service? Any Info? Please check guys Regards, Navaid Farooqui Ok mods...here is what I have seen or analyzed. First SPAMD increases the load and goes down. Next it takes more services with it. Please check Also Quoting
  2. hmm yes its stable. But still getting HTTP 500
  3. Ok here we go again, CPU - HIGH Memory - HIGH Swap - HIGH MySQL ERROR - Link Cannot be established Possible symptom - Somebody is draining MySQL Please Check Regards, Navaid Farooqui
  4. still i don't think Import can take that long ... i think we need Mr. DJBOB right now
  5. not possible in this era. From a holocaust war to the stainless steel screw nothing is what in front of the box. even a Gold medal is approx 90% silver ... so what can you expect? well this is out of subject .... but yes I agree to some extent the thing of professional grade web-hosting but the fact is whenever there is a thing FREE, one should test it before making any excuses.
  6. Exactly same here
  7. Actually I am seeing the page right now. Yes it happens occasionally when the load on Stevie is High. I think the only reason why only the server load is down on monitor is that we have the monitors for FTP HTTP and CPANEL. They all should be working fine even if MySQL is down. But there can't be any (or maybe negligible) load on server since most of the sites on Stevie are PHP based. Well, at the heliohost I can see the cross in-front of Stevie. Means its really down. Although I was waiting for a reply from any of the mod about the expected completion time. I don't know whether it takes that long to upgrade MySQL (I think it shouldn't). Maybe somebody just messed it up a bit
  8. Boy o boy .... I think he doesn't understand the meaning of COMMUNITY ....
  9. That's odd. I am receiving 500 Internal Server Error. Though I can see my database (Thank God ) . Also there is NO INFO for server load of Stevie in Server Monitor. Is it due to MySQL upgrade. If it is can you tell me whats the approximate time for completion??
  10. hmm... All lime all stable now :-) ...
  11. Ok.... so you said above that some of the accounts were causing load on MYSQL. Swap file is large too and according to XAAV apache is eating up a huge chunk of memory causing the slowness.... so just curious http://httpd.apache.org/security/vulnerabilities_22.html especially quoting Can this be the cause? or is it just casual MYSQL load increase?
  12. what version of apache are we using on Stevie???
  13. Hello, Whats with the severe load on Stevie since 8 AM UTC? Also seeing this error "Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL" much more frequently now. I am not the mod so I don't know the reality behind it (might be MYSQL server is getting abused) although this is the similar kind of stuff that happened before the Stevie went down for 4,5 days last time. Is anybody keeping an eye on it right now? Regards, Navaid Farooqui

    Extended Downtime

its not an error i think ... the whole server is down due to disk inconsistency.... actually I think it was on the cards since the root partition had a very little space left there.... Am I right? Behold.... its back up :-) FINALLY .... GOOD JOB DJBOB PLZ MAKE IT A STICKY OF SOME SORT.... FOR YOUR OWN SAKE....BACKUP YOUR DATA GUYS :-)

    Extended Downtime

hmmm ... m not a pro when it comes to linux ... but in windows i find EaseUs suites of data and partition recovery the best... unfortunately i don't know if its possible to run that on linux using wine but at the event of data loss . I would suggest giving it a try as I myself have used it on multiple occasions 100% recovering TB of data on servers easily and successfully ....It does support Ext2 and Ext3 file systems though
