Hey, I find that a lot of my traffic on my sites comes from search engines. I have done some basic SEO to my sites and I want to do more to increase traffic. What do you guys do to optimize your SEO on a worpress site or any other site for that matter?

Any fellow pro or amateur photographers here on Helio? If so say hi, and share your work or something. I love discussing and sharing my and other peoples shots. Hey, I woke up at 3am local time to sign up for Heliohost today. I understand that the approval process takes up to 2 days to weed out bots or bad accounts and that sort of thing. However I am kind of concerned. Usually when I sign up for a service on the internet I get a confirmation email. I got none. So this leads me to believe my my request was not even received. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks for the help, I greatly appreciate it.

It is wordpress. And the theme I got is very similar to the image. Its called Canvas by Woothemes http://www.woothemes.com/2011/05/canvas/.The only thing I changed was the backgrounds and a few of the graphics. All I need to do know is take the changes that I made in PS and translate them to code. Any chance you could help me by posting what I should do if you do not mind?

Ahh I wish I understood what that means. I have verrrrry basic knowledge of CSS and HTML. lol I just began learning less then a year ago. Is there any chance you could just show me the code and what to insert where? That would be awesome and save me a lot of grief. Thanks!

If you want to have "fun" on someone's mac and change passwords or anything for that matter all you need is assess to their hardware, a OSX installer cd or a way to boot the machine to linux. This works so long as the files you want to do stuff to are not encrypted. I have tried it, and the look on my friend's face made it worth while. lol use this knowledge for the power of "good" not evil. Hey, I want to have 3 background images layered on each other. It should look like the image below. So I want the outline of the mountains on the top of the background. A white layer beneath it that sticks out about half an inch on each side. A grid which would be set to repeat behind that. It should be like layers in photoshop. Just note I don't want to do all this in one image. Loading a giant image as a background will kill my bandwidth and speed. If the grid, the largest part of the background is set to "repeat" it will take less time and bandwidth to load. Can you guys help me out with the code. I know some html and css to do this. Hey, I was a member at ATBhost.net before it shut down. It was very similar to HelioNet, except it looks like you guys got your act together here. It had the whole free hosting and forum thing like HelioNet. It was pretty good. Only problem was it's finances were in shambles and I think it shut down because of that. I don't want this to happen here, I like it here. So my idea is make the finances transparent. Let us see a balance sheet and income statement so we know the state of the host. And if necessary we can raise money or something. To me this only makes sense. This host appears to be like a co-op. It is run and supported by members. It might as well be financially supported by the members if they can do so. Tell me what you guys think.
