  1. Yes, I suppose Opera is pretty good up there. The only problem is that I found it hard to use some sites that require either an ActiveX object or a Firefox plugin. Even if you mask as Firefox, it still won't work!

It's probably the only reason I keep FF around, honestly.

Hah, ActiveX? I runs teh Linux, there's no running ActiveX anyways. I haven't seen a site yet that requires a Firefox plugin.

I've never seen the sense in running a GTK browser in a QT environment, so I don't bother keeping it around.

Here's your first one. And, I dual boot between Linux and XP, hence that. Surely you can't tell me you haven't stumbled across a site that required an AX object, though - even if you can't run it!

And yes, TBone, FF is more secure by a longshot.

  2. I have read all the posts here. Different member suggested different things. But, I think most of them are impractical. Increasing the number of Helions per topic, I think will be of no use if the members become aloof to post some good and subjective topic. As I am also a member of different forums, I saw, a forum on 'movie making' spreads interest for posting among the members, as there are many budding ameture movie makers out there or on photography and same cause for it too. You can say that there are many forums on these topics. But, all I can say, that the forums with these topics can bring quality posts and quality posts are the only things which can make a forum alive and so for this. I think you should try, otherwise there always be an option to suspend a forum.

I think you should try, otherwise there can always be an option to suspend parts of the forum.

Increase the quality of your posts and others will follow. Besides, this little "flame war", dare I call it that, has brought out some great posts - some are even better than your own!

  3. Tried going for the hosting plan and didn't realize I needed to be a member for 7 days. It's not that I'm over posting to get my 250 Helions, but I just really have nothing better to do at this hour. XD

So, I buy the item and it says I need to be a member for 7 days. Alrighty, I'll keep posting and wait - until the system took my Helions. T__T

So, is it at all possible to get my Helions back, or did I miss something in the rules that I'm being punished for? Cause I'm pretty sure I read over everything!

    Thanks in advance,

  4. Ugh. It's been bothering me, but maybe someone could give me a second opinion.

    I've been through THREE freaking MP3 players. All of them are busted and returned. I'm wondering now, is the iPod worth my while? It looks good and durable, and from a reputable company (debatable)... what bothers me is that the battery will eventually lose it's charge and I'll have to replace it for $80. T__T;

    What do you guys think?

  5. It's the classic age-old rivalry. The Super Nintendo vs. Genesis, Mario vs. Sonic, is a old rivalry that everyone liked and remembered. Although Megaman wouldn't be too bad either, but was he ever on a Nintendo system?

Of course, he STARTED with Nintendo on the NES and SNES.

  6. I~ think we're just over thinking this.

Let's just say the Universe is infinitely big.

...The end. Why would I be anywhere else? The universe is just really, really big, always growing. There will NEVER be another one of me, there will NEVER be an exact same Earth. It's impossible, the odds are just, well, infinitely high.

  7. I do not believe in the bible, nor any religion in particular.

As stated before, I do not see nor hear a god. I have no proof that such a thing really happened; the birth of Christ and all that ( Yes, I was "brought up" as a Christian ). For all I know, the Holy Bible as we know it could simply be some Hebrew's fairy tale.

If I was certain that a God existed, this "higher power"? Only then would I bow down to it.
