  1. hi

i got from e-mail message "password reset for c-panel" 1 hour ago.

but i did not asked any of this .

there is any problem with cpanel ?

EDIT: i forgot to mention that the Password reset was requested from ip that is not my

i dont know if some one is try to play with me or some bug in the system

  2. i am sorry for bumping this ...

i have same question but i did a little research.

i know that there is a way to enable the ssh with secure if you don't trust your users.

with the cpanel shell , i was reading some articles the it work like jail ('jailshell') user cannot do commands behind his chroot.

the reason i am asking to look over this issue its because i am using drupal cms & drush on my local server .

and drush can give me the ability to use shell with some commands that i work all the time

and it can give me the ability to mange sync between development \ production site.

so if i cannot use ssh on your server i simply cannot using drush. (i can still work locally of course)

there is any way that you can consider enable ssh with framework that will not breach your server ?

(sorry if i have some incorrect spelling i tried to be clear as i can)

  3. when it will be over ?

3 clicks on the mouse became to 3 minuets at list !

its almost a month with this issue very hard to work with .

i had some Thought about this issue maybe some account make this problem if you don't find the hardware problem,

but i don't really got much experience with web building to know what process in php / site management

can Cause high process / Instability to the server.

there is any way to check every individual account or its non sense ?

  4. Geoff: There is a limit, but if it was being reached then PHP would just die and return a 500 error instead of timing out.

I often get a lot of 500 errors when trying to load my PHP pages (approx. 8-10PM PST). Then I have to wait a few minutes before refreshing the page or it gives me the error again. So some limit must be being reached. But the server load has been weird. Before the power failure, Stevie's server load usually stayed around 2-3 or would jump up to 14+. Now it usually hangs around 6.

well i get this issue too but there is no time related about it .

i think that there is a limit on connections per site , so if you upload some files to your public_html

the numbers of connection is raised up .

i am getting this 500 error also . i don't know how to fix it maybe staff members will help about this issue.

to the issue related server load as shown on monitors its really weird but i don't know how its calculate it .

main issue is that might be some background process like cron or some other job that take all power to him self or hardware related problem.

the corrective disk supposed to be at list 24 hours but it has done in 2.5 hours & no errors found so i believe that it didn't evan worked right .

some error must be found cuz the power failure shut down the server on spot & no close file had been generated .

when you start the server after power failure it need to show you some log about missing file or message about power failure or shut down unsuspected

maybe in this log you got your answer to the issue .

EDIT: sorry about my English it isn't my main language

  5. ohhhh man last 24 hours was hell slow , too many time outs ....

i don't know what to say . somehow i believe that there is a problem with the ram....

i know someone with the same problem .

he has dedicated server half year ago there was a power problem in the hosting , couple hours later he found out that some ram block got damaged.

he restart the server every day until today.

i hope that i wrong about this .

check the ram if you can.

  6. Please can you let us know if you see an improvement. If not, then we can investigate the matter further ;)

there is a bit of improvement .

i got the time out message few times , but i am not all day on the site or cpanel .

maybe others got something to say.

you can watch the monitor http://grd.net.pl/heliohost/monitor/

i believe that last 12 hours was great.

sometimes i have some problem i am not sure its related - when i am on smart Ftp uploading files , i got the 500 message.

  7. Stevie is up and running (for me, at least), but it has not been nearly 24 hours. Is the maintenance complete?

i am not realy sure that maintenance has been run yet.

Stevie is up but sometimes thare is freeze or time out ,

let us know whan its done.

  9. Actually, djbob hasn't issued an fsck yet. He wanted to ask us whether we thought it was a good idea first.

If the server is still running slowly, then please let us know and djbob will run the fsck on Stevie. This would mean 24 hours downtime for Stevie.

lets get over with it , server really in unstable condition (sometimes he work like he should sometimes not ). what we waiting for?

  10. Hmm... my guess is that this issue is due to some problems on the hard drive, as that's the only thing that could have gotten some issues due to the power failure. My next idea at this point is to reboot and force a corrective fsck on boot, which will probably take most of a day. Do you guys think that I ought to try that?

i think every one can wait another day we are already a week with that issue . do what ever you need to do because its Annoying to refresh pages every 5-10 minutes, its not good to the server & not easy to work on the site/ftp/cpanel.

i wish you a week with Blessings .

  11. Maybe it was great for you for 10 hours straight but it wasn't for me. Always speak for yourself and never accuse other people of being wrong unless you know for sure your 100% right.

sorry m8 i didn't want to accuse you with anything , i just tried to help to give time line for lag problem.

i will never reply again in here .

again sorry and have a nice day

  12. Okay, issuing reboot now.

I haven't noticed too much of an improvement sad to say. :(

    wrong

for 10 hours straight after the reboot all was really great not evan 1 error about time out.

after 10 hours something happened and its start to be lagi again .

according to this time everything go smooth for past 5 hours.

now you have the time line to see something in the logs , maybe some process or some other problem.
