Hi, I have a domain hplife.net on heliohost and have a asp.net web application. When try to send email using System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient from the web app, it always fails. I tried following smtp servers: 1. smtp.gmail.com with port 587 and ssl with an gmail account and its password. The exception message is "Message could not be sent". The gmail account username and password is correct. 2. mail.heliohost.org with port 25 and no ssl. The exception message is "535 Incorrect authentication data". I used an email address weplay@hplife.net and its password. This email account is created through cpanel.hplife.net. 3. mail.heliohost.org with port 465 and ssl. I was not able to get exception message because the limitation of my web app code. Can you let me know: 1. if sending email through gmail is allowed? 2. if I use mail.heliohost.net, what port numbers are supported? Can you use weplay@hplife.net email account and its password for authentication? Is there any additional steps I need to configurate my environment through cpanel? thank you very much.

Thank you for replying so quick. No, that is wrong email address. I guess I missed "g" when I enter the email. The correct email address is hong_zhu@yahoo.com which is the same one in my Helionet.org account. Is there a way to correct the email address on file or you can help me on another way?

Hi, I registered a new account with my domain HPLife.net on HeiloHost around 10 days ago. But I forgot my cpanel password, and not sure if my cpanel user name is hplife or hplife.net. I tried to click reset password on both hplife and hplife.net. The messages came back said passwords were reset and an email was send to me. But I did not receive any email. What email address it send to? I have my email, hong_zhu@yahoo.com, on my support account (My account on HeiloNet.org is hplife). Please let me know my cpanel usernam and help me to get the password reset email. Thank you very much. Howard
