  1. Understood. Sounds like PhpPgAdmin isn't working for anyone. Maybe a reinstall? Given the situation is there another way users can edit Postgres tables? For myself I guess I could write some PHP pages to allow me to edit but that seems a lot of work. Is there an easier way such as remote access to the PHP database from a remote PC? James Actually I shouldn't have bothered you with that last question. After some searching I found http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?sh...mote+postgresql which gives instructions. I've set phpPgAdmin up and it does contact stevie but I get exactly the same message: Login failed. Is it possible the problem is not with phpPgAdmin? I've even tried resetting all my passwords on stevie through cpanel but I still get Login failed when trying to access Postgres either through cpanel or remotely. James That works. Thanks for suggesting it. I can access Postgres data fine that way. James

  3. Hi, I just created a database but cannot log in to it using PhpPgAdmin. Every time I try to start PhpPgAdmin it says "Login failed". I've even tried deleting the database and just accessing PhpPgAdmin but I still get the same error message. PhpMyAdmin seems fine. Is there a problem with Postgresql or with PhpPgAdmin or do I have to do something special? James
  4. Hi, I wanted to move server from johnny to stevie. I followed the process at http://wiki.helionet.org/Moving_your_account I deleted the account from johnny about a week ago, I guess. When I try to recreate the account on stevie I get told "We're sorry, but that username has already been taken. Please go back and enter a different username." The username (pldev) seems to still exist. If I try to reset its password I get sent an email. When I enter the confirmation code I get told "Password change cannot be completed: Account is currently suspended! Please contact the billing/support department." What's happening? Is the account suspended pending deletion and should I just wait longer for the original account to be deleted? Or is there some other step(s) I should take? TIA, James
  5. Thanks to everyone for the answers. I can see I have to read up on CMSs. I'll try drupal first. James
  6. Under a Heliohost website is there a way to allow multiple people to - each have his own userid or account within the website - manage his own password - protect files from other users while still allowing them to add pages to the website? I can see that each person could have a separate FTP userid but I can't see any way for FTP users to change their own passwords. James
