Thanks for answering. I recreated the database all manually. No deal, Tommy is really fast... PHP is inherited version PHP 7.2 (ea-php72) Chart doesn't work. Nor do my other Perl scripts. Get MySQL error (probably also the reason that Chart does not work): install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't locate DBD/mysql.pm in @INC (@INC contains: "." "." /usr/local/lib64/perl5 /usr/local/share/perl5 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 .) at (eval 5) line 3. Perhaps the DBD::mysql perl module hasn't been fully installed, or perhaps the capitalisation of 'mysql' isn't right. Available drivers: DBM, ExampleP, File, Gofer, Mem, Proxy, SQLite, Sponge.

Thanks for being moved! Is it possible that good old Tommy is fast, fast? Some problems/questions: 1. Is it likely that MySQL database restore works via C-Panel (on Ricky I always failed) or do you suggest that I restore all manually? 2. PHP script says "undefined function mime_content_type()". I read in some blogs that this function is missing in some installations; has this changed from "old Tommy PHP"? 3. Is there any possibility to install the Perl Chart module (https://metacpan.org/pod/distribution/Chart/Chart.pod); the admin had installed it serverwide on Tommy before, when I asked how I could use it; locally would be fine, too. If not possible, I could try to just copy the module and all dependencies (GD, etc) to my cgi-bin... Thanks...

Thanks a lot. Can't await it to be on old good (new) Tommy again!

Tommy's back - thanks guys! As far as I understand, transfer from Ricky to Tommy is either automatic or by sending the users an invitation. In both cases, the e-mail account is considered. In my case: same e-mail with (temporary) Ricky account than previously on Tommy, but e-mail for donation is different (as donation was done by a "sponsor") ... does this create any problems for moving my account? Thanks...

PHP errors with "Tommy" scripts on Ricky
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Website Management and Coding
I really appreciated if someone could give me some advice concerning my PHP problems. Please ... I really need my site running properly again... Also problems with Perl scripts based on the Chart module. This module wasn't originally installed on Tommy, but the admin had the kindness to install it, when I asked how I could use it. On Ricky, now, no chart at all. Scripts not working here? If the module wasn't installed, I would get a Perl error or a server error 500, wouldn't I? Recreating the MySQL databases using the Restore function in C-panel just creates the db, no tables, no data insert. Is this really only due to the load on Ricky? Is the only possibility to redo all tables and data insert manully again? Thanks... -
PHP errors with "Tommy" scripts on Ricky
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Website Management and Coding
Thanks. Manually recreated tables, statistics scripts ok now. Other PHP problem however with my directory listing script (works fine on my local server and worked fine on Tommy): no output at all, no error log found either. May this be related to statements like return array($subdirlist, $filelist); list($subdirlist, $filelist) = getFileList($dir, 1); that perhaps do not work or work differently with PHP5? Sorry, but I've no ideas about this and trying for 2 weeks to get my site running correctly again... Thanks for any suggestions. -

PHP errors with "Tommy" scripts on Ricky
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Website Management and Coding
My Ricky username is the same as on Tommy, the database name, too; I recreated the (same) MySQL user. Noticed this morning in phpMyAdmin that the db has been created, but seems not contain any tables. Is this possible, in despite I got a "successful restore" message? I also saw that the PHP version on Ricky is 5. On Tommy, it was 7, wasn't it? That may also give problems with some PHP statements? -
Hi. I restored the backups from Tommy to Ricky this afternoon, but the PHP scripts do not work anymore. Normally I use Perl, to be honest knowing not lots more than nothing about PHP (but all my MySQL based statistics scripts are in PHP), it's difficult for me to see what the reason may be. Version 5 on one and version 7 on the other server perhaps? Error messages: - Call to a member function fetch() on boolean - Call to a member function rowCount() on boolean Thanks for help.

[Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Escalated Requests
Thanks for the invite (and to @sohamb03 for all the help, he tried to give me), but if I look back at the last week, all the hopes, disappointments, uncertities, fears and seeing myself seen by 200 HelioHost users as the one, who tried to get an invitation by pretending having done a donation without having done so ... I think that there is not courage enough left to restart, especially as I fear new problems when asking the transfer back to Tommy or the next time a server has to be rebuild. Sorry, for having stolen your time for nothing. In particular, because I think that all was due to my ignorance, that on the payment page I checked a checkbox that hided my name in the donation document you got. Thanks to the HelioHost team for the year, where my dreams appeared to become reality... -
[Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Escalated Requests
The only thing, I am sure of, is that a donation was made (in my name) and, based on the content of the email I got, it seems to be sure that it was made to HelioHost. If they didn't get it, no reason for them to send me an invitation and no right nor reason for me to recreate the account. -
[Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Escalated Requests
As I got an email myself, as well as the printed copies of the transaction documents, that my "sponsor" received, I'm sure that the donation has been made. For the rest, what sense to recreate the account, if I risk that you'll delete it later, because you can't find data concerning the payment? But, perhaps, the crash of Tommy has deeper reasons. Just a sign, to tell me that it is time to accept, that if you are living in the street, you should live like people living in the street and not try to make websites and write articles and computer programs... email_printout.pdf -
[Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance

Kindly request to get an invitation for a temporary account on Ricky with the possibility to transfer it to the original account on Tommy, when it is available again. Donation made September 8th, using PayPal to Sparkie GoFundMe; email used: ferasmy@pt.lu (email of my "sponsor"). [Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Escalated Requests
As there were no replies to this topic for 2 days, I decided to start a new one, renewing the invitation request (with indication that I donated through the Sparkie fundraiser). Sorry for this, but I really need my website back... -
[Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Escalated Requests
No need perhaps. But, if I found another "sponsor" for another donation (using a method different from the Sparkie fundraiser), would this speed up things? Patience is good, but all waiting results in loosing points in Google Search, as well as risking to loose all those, who regularly visited the site. It's also a big loss of time to travel to the city (where I have free Internet access without, every time I view the posts, I have to buy a coffee). And the uncertainty, when and if that, what I consider(ed) as my life project and duty, can be restarted, is really not easy to manage. My fault, of course: If I had have considered, that Tommy might be down for weeks, and immediately decided to temporarily move to Ricky, all these problems wouldn't never have occured... -

[Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance

Community > Donate: "HelioHost's Sparkie server - Donate". That's the place where I did the donation. And payment was done using PayPal. Sorry, if I did something wrong (and waste your time), but that was the only donation place, that I found on your site. Is it possible that the donation was to done to PayPal instead of HelioHost? -
[Solved] Request for Ricky invite due to Tommy's maintenance
allu62 replied to allu62's topic in Escalated Requests
Transaction id = correct. May the problem be due to the fact that I have no bank account or anything like and a "sponsor" did the payment for me? The e-mail stated on PayPal receipt = ferasmy@pt.lu. -
Kindly ask for the possibility to get an invitation for a temporary account on Ricky with the possibility to transfer to the original account on Tommy, when it is back. Donation made on September, 8th via PayPal, transaction id = 676807715S52284OR. Am I right to suppose that DNS settings are automatically adapted, when the account is created? Hi. Someone there, who could me give some advise, how to do? I had an account on Tommy and my site down since the disk crash. 1 month now and really time to bring it up again. Tommy would be back on September, 9th, I read. How sure is this information? Would it perhaps be better for me to create the account on Ricky and then transfer it to Tommy, if it is back? But, may the Tommy backups directly be used via C-Panel on Ricky? Would Perl and MySQL work without modifications to do? And, concerning the transfer, will it be done by HelioHost, automatically or on demand? Or will I have to delete the Ricky account and recreate it on Tommy (with perhaps a new donation in order to receive an invitation)? Really impatient to restart working on my site. Any helpfull advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi. Any server may crash and it may take time before it's online again. Thanks for hard work (I suppose), thanks for the backups. But, big surprise, when I tried to sign in this morning. My account has been suspended. Difficult to understand why loosing everything, if it's not your fault. Of course, there is the possibilty to recreate the account. But that meens having to make a donation. I understand that you need lot of money, but how can I do? I'm still homelless, found a sponsor to nenew my domain name last week and could find one for the donation, too. But I don't know anyone, who has an account at PayPal. Is there any payment possibility using a bank card or account? My site is hundreds of hours of work, important for me (and I hope one day for others) and before the crash there have been more and more regular visitors. Have I to give up all this because of a broken harddisk? I hope that you'll find a solution. Anyway, thanks for having had the possibility of my own website during a year... That HelioHost is a great, I knew, but that it's as great... Many thanks! And Merry Christmas to everyone!

I don't think so. The module is simply called "Chart" (actually v2.4.10). Pod at Meta-CPan: https://metacpan.org/pod/Chart Dependency: Lincoln Stein's GD module version 2.0.36 or higher (not actually installed on HelioHost).
