Considering we can't fix the ddos on Johnny, we have to just wait it out, which considering this botnet's persistence, it could be months.

 

Maybe it will move back to Johnny when that maintenance is completed, but who knows. More than likely the goal of the attacker is to crash all of our servers and run us out of business. The attack started shortly after we banned ~150 phishing sites that signed up over the course of a week (mostly paypal phishing, and significantly more than normal), so my theory is that its retaliation for us banning some clown who wanted to phish paypal accounts.

That's because the attack just overloads Apache, effectively keeping it from doing anything.

 

The cPanel stuff runs under a dedicated web server application known as cpsrvd that is unaffected. Email and the like should still work too. Unlike Johnny, which buckled from load, Tommy is much beefier, so between him simply having a lot more capability and his firewall not hogging the CPU, he handles being attacked much better.

 

TL;DR: Some idiot phisher is attacking us and his botnet ain't big enough

The ddos that was hitting Johnny is now hitting tommy instead since we took down Johnny for maintenance.

Hello!!!! Now i got a big problem here... during the new user creation ..my previous username was not permitted to use so i had to change the username i.e previously it was 'sidantaa' and then i changed to 'sidanta1' now because i was not allowed to use same username 'sidantaa'. I was afraid about the the database after the username changed, the same thing is happening to me now.....In Cpanel, the database name was 'sidantaa_xxxxxxxxx'   but now the username had been changed so while importing the database it became 'sidanta1_sidantaa_xxxxxx' . This made a big conflict here...Everything ruined at this step and neither i can rename database as 'sidantaa_xxxxxxxxx' nor  able to drop database from PHPMYADMIN now.. Please, help me.

Hey Hi!!!!  I have one question regarding backup in Cpanel. Do the Full Website Backup also includes the database files??  or Else we have to back up database files separately???  If the sql files are backed up automatically with Full Website Backup, where is it located in backup directory???

Hello admin!!! There was Internal server error while i tried to access the Cpanel in Tommy server and since then i am getting the following error while accessing my website:

Okay, it's not our servers, it's seems to be just you at the moment, my personal Website is working fine.

 

I'm not even getting a 500 error just a "Server stopped responding" which leads me to believe it's an error with your domain.

 

Please create a new topic entitled "Domain problem" or something to that degree and wait for an admin to escalate it.

 

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, I have no access to the physical servers.

You need to change your domain in the Wordpress configuration/settings. I'm guessing it's linking back to the old domain for files but they don't exist.

Thanks for the hints.... I looked up sincerely and got to know that the domain had not been updated in both wordpress configuration and database site url...Thanks the site loaded succesfully but my logo get disappeared this i guess can do myself.Thanks Bailey.

It's  a wordpress site and i am unknown about the main css file here...i have used the paid theme here....Ok i understand the page is not loading CSS....But what's about admin panel ?? why is this not working????  i think the domain has not been effective in hosting after i changed the primary domain. May be i should wait another 1 day to to work it completely??? What's the cause can yo explain???

I think i am pretty sure now the domain have not been activated completely in hosting. while i tried to access admin panel it redirects to previous domain and throws error as " 404 Not Found

I tried to add domain...since it's a main domain now it throws this error "You cannot park main domain" while adding.
