My bad, thank you, that solved it.

When attempting to connect to db I suddenly am now getting the error ERROR 2026 (HY000): SSL connection error: protocol version mismatch from the MySQL Workbench or Shell on both of my machines. I was able to connect for several weeks without problems and seemingly for no reason am now getting this error. The last thing I was doing on the server wasn't much special, sth. like "CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `$tablename` (id INT(6) UNSIGNED AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY) engine=InnoDB;". I can access the db just fine using phpMyAdmin I'm using MySQL Workbench 6.3 CE I appreciate any suggestions
