Hi there,

I have set up an email address for my website: admin@rt60calculator.heliohost.org.

I can successfully send emails from this account to other accounts - this goes without a hitch. However, I encounter an issue when I send an email to this account - it is seemingly sent successfully, but it never arrives at the admin account, nor is it registered on the Webmail cPanel application.

What's gone wrong?

Thanks,

RT60 Calculator Guy.

EDIT: The email I tried to send has bounced (hours later), stating that the DNS lookup failed. However, my website was online and operational at the time. Still, why should this happen?

Go to your cpanel and look under the mail catagory for Default Address, I believe that's the name and follow the instructions.

So are you saying that your still having a problem with your email?

Yes, even though the redirect to my home address has been set up.

The email doesn't even get recieved, it just bounces back - the DNS lookup still fails.

It seems that ns1.heliohost.org (Stevie) has the right results for this MX record, but ns2.heliohost.org (Cody) does not. However, the actual zone files seem to be intact on Cody. I'm syncing zone files right now, but once that's done I'll restart named on Cody in the hopes that that will correct this issue.

Please continue discussion of this issue in this thread. Closing...
