leods92 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Dear HelioHost team, I am trying to set your DNS servers with my registrar but I keep receiving (from them) an error "your domain is unknown for the slave address".Curiously, the master DNS is okay, according to them. I am using 'ns1.heliohost.org' as the master address and 'ns2.heliohost.org' as the slave one. My account is apparently all set up, but I wonder if there is any chance of it being not entirely ready yet what would explain that error.Anyway, I would be very pleased if you could check the settings of my account/domain and give me a feedback about it. leods92 Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 The Brazilian one: http://registro.br And from what I've read in their FAQ, this problem is in the hosting company which doesn't recognize my domain as being hosted with them, so...
Byron Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 At the time of this post I'm not seeing your domain pointed to us. http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools...m.br&rec=NS But it could take 48 hours to see the changes.
leods92 Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 The problem is that my registrar doesn't allow me to set a DNS that doens't recognize the domain; consequently I have firstly have all set in the hosting company then with the registrar. I think that's weird too, but it's registrar's rule... //EDIT: I've found a way to get it work: In their DNS settings I set an A record to 216.218.192.170 and a CNAME 'www' to 'pedalandoobrasil.com.br'. It works; is that allowed/stable? I mean, is the IP above static or dynamic?
