jje Posted July 14, 2011 Share Posted July 14, 2011 MySQL is a useful alternative to the SQL engine. Since we are running a Linux system instead of Windows, it would be impossible for us to set up a MSSQL engine (i think). MySQL is very similar to MSSQL, except you use different code and manage it differently. However, that would take probably years of debugging and messing around with wine. Not to mention, the hurdles of getting a license for installing it.
