Cool! That partially answers a question I had: How does it work when creating a new account? Now I know how to check the status, but do I need to put helionet.org's DNS right now? (ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org) 2. Is there a general cPanel portal I can use to set up my account settings without using mydomainname.com/cpanel? The login form on Helionet's front page (http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/) look like the solution? 3. I saw the 4 servers were given names and I'm a bit confused as what the 3 other that are not Stevie are for... Do we get to choose one? Haha! 4. Finally, I haven't found anything on file size restrictions except that we are given 250MB. (Ex. my current free host provider limits all my file uploads to 500KB.) Thanks! P.S.: I hope I can get Piwik to work here! Sirus
jje Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 1. If you are using a none .heliohost.org domain, then you will need to add ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org as your nameservers as soon as you can after signup. This can be done from your domain registerer's control panel. 2. Yes, we offer cPanel - an award winning control panel with most of the features you could want! Click here for a demo. 3. If you signup now, you will be placed on Stevie. At the moment, all accounts are being hosted on Stevie. However, we are currently configuring our new server, Charlie (and Johnny and Cody), which is currently hosting the official HelioHost and HelioNet websites. Signups to Charlie will be opened in the next few months. 4. You are limited to 250MB of disk space, and have unlimited bandwidth! However, you mustn't take up too many server resources or abuse the servers otherwise your account will be suspended. Hope this helps!
Sirusdark Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Yes, thank you jje for the answers! But right now (18-03-2011) I can't see the status of my account (Sirus) which was created on March 12. I wrote everything down before and after creating my account to make sure I had all the exact information... Now the system can't find my account? Any ideas? I tried the http://www.heliohost.org/home/ & the http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/login/ cPanel login page to no avail. Did I miss something? I'd like to see the control panel BEFORE adding heliohost's DNS. Thank you! Sirus
Byron Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 @Sirusdark: I'm seeing your site as active. Make sure your using ALL lowercase when trying to login.
teo_turtle Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Hello everybody It can to me say is somebody in the situation my hosting account? thank you :-)
Wizard Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Please read the Support FAQ before making queries. Most of the info you've asked about is documented there. @teo_turtle: I somewhat understand that you wish to know the status of your account... I think. Try this: http://heliohost.org/scripts/status.php
teo_turtle Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Either we could not find that account in the database, or it has already become active. If you're seeing an "Account Queued" page, please wait an additional 24 hours. If you aren't seeing anything, please refresh your browser's cache.
