Byron Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I get asked for a password (401 Authorization) when I go to that url. The new server isn't ready for accounts and I doubt we will transfer anybody. Stevie will get better in time.

The problem was the password i made but is that mean that i can't protect my sub domain :?
Byron Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 You can password protect any part of your site that you want. If you happen to forget your password on a password protected directory, create a new password.
Guest Geoff Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Looks like you have deleted the folder of that subdomain.
Kero Yugi Posted March 9, 2011 Author Posted March 9, 2011 Looks like you have deleted the folder of that subdomain. deleted!? i don't understand
jje Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Let me explain... A sub domain is an extra part of your domain (sub.domain.com) which is mirrored with another folder (domain.com/sub). A sub domain can mirror different parts of your websites (domain.com/folder/sub) but it can only mirror one folder. The physical address of a subdomain is very similar to a normal folder ( /public_html/sub ). To password protect a subdomain, go to 'Password-Protect Directories' and protect the physical path I told you about above. When you go to your subdomain, it says that the phsyical address you entered ( /public_html/index.php ) was deleted. Hope this makes sense.
